In the hardest launch we’ve seen this year, Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan play a criminal couple in the singer’s latest single, Please Please Please. Released on 7 June, the track is produced by Jack Antanoff and is a pre-release for her upcoming album Short n’ Sweet dropping on 23 August. While fans are aware the pair have been dating for the past year, Espresso singer and Saltburn actor have not officially been photographed—or filmed—together as a couple until now. Halsey reveals her secret health battle with Lupus and Leukemia

On 5 June, Halsey shocked fans by revealing her health update on Instagram, saying “I’m lucky to be alive.” In the carousel post, the singer—who goes by she/they pronouns—was seen receiving medication and undergoing several treatments. While she did not explicitly state what her diagnosis was, fans quickly spotted that she tagged Lupus Research Alliance and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America. In the same post, Halsey also revealed her latest single, The End, which dives into her health struggles.

Then on 6 June, the Without Me singer shared more about her health in another series of social media posts. “In 2022, I was first diagnosed with Lupus SLE and then a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder,” the caption reads. “Both of which are currently being managed or in remission; and both of which I will likely have for the duration of my life.”
“After a rocky start, I slowly got everything under control with the help of amazing doctors,” Halsey continued. “After 2 years, I’m feeling better and I’m more grateful than ever to have music to turn to.”
Lupus is an autoimmune disease in which the body’s immune system attacks its own tissues and organs, leading to pain, inflammation, rashes, and more. T-cell lymphoproliferative disorders refer to the uncontrolled growth of white blood cells in the body.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s daughter Shiloh files to drop “Pitt” from her name
Amidst Brangelina’s ongoing divorce battle, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt has filed a petition on her 18th birthday to drop “Pitt” from her last name. She won’t be the first to do this as the couple’s other daughter, Zahara Marley Jolie, also filed a similar petition in 2022. A source tells People that Pitt is “aware and upset” about the change. “He’s never felt more joy than when she was born. He always wanted a daughter,” the source shares.
The couple, who share six children together, split in 2016 after Jolie accused the actor of choking one of their children during a flight and was verbally abusive. The Eternals actress filed for divorce after the incident. In 2019, they were granted a bifurcated judgment, which means that both Hollywood stars are legally single.
A new Hunger Games book and movie is coming!
If you loved returning to the dystopian world of Panel in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes last year, this will be welcome news! On 7 June, Scholastic announced that Sunrise on the Reaping, the fifth instalment in the best-selling franchise, will be published on 18 March 2025.

Set 40 years after The Ballads of Songbirds and Snakes, the book will explore the second Quarter Quell where the Capitol doubled the amount of tributes and Haymitch Abernathy’s victory in the death games.
This will be followed by a second prequel film that will open in theatres on 20 November 2026. The movie will be directed by Francis Lawrence, who has worked on all but the first Hunger Games film.

While details of the wedding are kept on the down low, Brown’s Stranger Things costar Matthew Modine shared during an Access Daily interview that he would be the couple’s officiant. “I have one of those licenses to get people married and Millie thought it’d be great,” Modine, who plays Eleven’s “Papa” explained. “So I wrote the wedding vows and they loved what I wrote for them to join hands and become husband and wife.” How cute!
The upcoming Peaky Blinders film is “one for the fans”
Another exciting film in the works is one that welcomes Thomas Shelby back on screen! On 4 June, Netflix announced that a movie based on the hit series Peaky Blinders is currently in production. Oscar winner Cillian Murphy will reprise his role as Thomas Shelby, the head of his feared gangster family and produce the film.
“It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me…It is very gratifying to be re-collaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders. This one is for the fans,” Murphy shared in a statement via Netflix.
Kensington Palace makes a rare update on Kate Middleton’s health
Since Kate Middleton’s shocking cancer announcement in March, many fans of the Duchess of Cambridge are eagerly awaiting updates on her health and when she will return to royal duties. While the Royal is undergoing treatment out of the public eye, a spokesperson from Kensington Palace has given a rare comment on Middleton’s status that her recovery is “going well”. “We have been really clear that [Kate] needs the space and the privacy to recover right now,” the palace representative said. “She will return to work when she has had the green light from doctors.”
The source went on to say that the Duchess’ royal duties may differ when she returns. Her team is “reevaluating what she’s going to be able to take on when she comes back. She may never come back in the role that people saw her in before.”
