Dive into nostalgia with Stranger Thing’s 8-bit mobile game

Not long to go now until the second season of Stranger Things arrives on Netflix. In anticipation of the series’ return on 27 October, the show’s creators have released ‘Strangers Things: The Game’ for Android and iOS devices. Like the show, the game evokes ’80s nostalgia in all its 8-bit glory.

Players will start out as Chief Hopper, going on to unlock different chapters and characters in the adventure-puzzle game. You can even traverse to the Upside Down—not without donning a hazmat suit, of course. Besides playing to beat the game, there’s a side mission for you to collect tapes and complete the full VHS library, after which a never-before-seen-footage of Season 2 will be unlocked.

Go on and enter the Upside Down.

‘Stranger Things’ Season Two will debut on Netflix worldwide this 27 October, just in time for Halloween.
