After a Season Two teaser at the Super Bowl earlier this year, Stranger Things has revealed the first full trailer for the Netflix series’ second season at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday.
In the trailer, we see that the boys and the town of Hawkins, Indiana are facing bigger, stranger things in the new season. It seems that Will might have escaped the Upside Down, but it still isn’t done haunting him – and it looks like the netherworld is seeping its way into the real world. The trailer concludes with Eleven, who is shown trying to make her way out of Upside Down and back into Hawkins.
Brilliantly tapping into ’80s nostalgia, the trailer is set to Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’, with nods to classics of that era like Ghostbusters and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Watch it here:
‘Stranger Things’ Season Two will debut on 27 October 2017, just in time for Halloween.
