She has graced countless fashion magazines and fronted many ad campaigns in her career spanning 28 years and counting, so it was perhaps only a matter of time before she soaked up some creative juices herself and turned it into another career option.

Meet Kate Moss, the interior designer.

The supermodel has recently collaborated with British brand, de Gournay to design a new floral wallpaper called ‘Anemones in Light’. The hand-painted design draws influence from the anemone flower, which is a symbol of luck in Greek mythology. Legend has it that the flower was formed by Aphrodite’s tears as the goddess mourns the death of Adonis.

The Kate Moss x de Gournay collection has a monochromatic, art deco feel where the softness of the painted blooms blends well with the contemporary colour palette. Also, “the paper changes depending on the different times of day,” explained Kate, whose bathroom now sports the hand-painted wallpaper.

My style is drawn from different eras, mixing the old with the new, custom pieces mixed with found treasures – Kate on her interior style

This is not Kate’s first foray into interior design, previously having worked with The Barnhouse, a luxury retreat in the Cotswolds where she designed for Philippe Starck’s Yoo. Her love for interior projects though, began with her former personal assistant, Katie Grove, whom she shares a mutual admiration for the de Gournay’s wallpaper.
