12 Celebrity makeup looks we would so wear for this holiday season

Text: Wei Yeen Loh

From cool grey lipstick to a wash of rose gold on the lids, these celebrity makeup looks are all the inspo you need for a festive 'do

Channel Beyoncé's monochromatic look with grey lipstick and a matching outfit in the same cool hue. Tip: Rock it with plenty of attitude.

Take a leaf out of Chloë Grace Moretz's book with this colour combination. Wear rose gold over your eyelids and pair it with a deep wine lip—no better time than the holiday season to break the Eyes Or Lips rule.

Olivia Culpo shows us how a classic red lip can be elevated with perfectly-groomed brows, contoured angles and full lashes. Wear this look with your hair back to let it stand out.

Our favourite beauty muse Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is giving us life with her dusty pink, ultra-romantic makeup look—from that enviable smoky eyeshadow (in a subtle cat eye, no less) to that matte velvet lip.

If you're not feeling a full-on makeup look, try Emily Ratajkowski's sun-kissed glow in the form of a pale coral lip, combed brows and a tinge of colour over the cheekbones. Ace that dewy glow by mixing your favourite serum in liquid foundation before applying it all over.

Amandla Stenberg teaches us how to pull off colour with aplomb. We're loving the green cat-eye and iridescent pink in the inner corner of her eyelids—both perfectly complementing (yet contrasting) hues to go with her snazzy ensemble.

Go against the grain with a bold colour that isn't red or noir. Jasmine Sanders is proof that a chocolate lip isn't going anywhere soon with this on-trend look.

Speaking of iridescence, Rihanna is making us vie for her Fenty Beauty holiday collection thanks to this jaw-dropping campaign visual. Up the ante with shades of purple and plenty of shimmer over the cheekbones.

Another monochromatic look we're loving is Margaret Zhang's effortlessly cool take on red on red. The trick to pulling this off is to keep it matte, right after scoring the right shade of crimson to suit your skin tone.

Alternatively, go supermodel mode a la Naomi Campbell with glossy lips, dewy eyeshadow, and full lashes. Don't forget to pile on the bling.

Give your cat eye a mod spin with a graphic twist, as seen on Lily Collins here.

Another star who is embracing the metallic eye + wine lip is Emma Stone, who's emanating major Ice Queen vibes with her silver, shimmery eyes and burgundy lip.
