The iconic Miss Dior fragrance is one that is deeply entrenched with history. Every year, the French maison introduces new olfactory additions to the range, including last year’s Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming. While that fragrance is tailored for the feminine and free-spirited woman in mind, this year’s new interpretation is made for the woman in love. Introducing Miss Dior Eau de Parfum—newly reinvented with different notes and livelier nuances that, crafted as an “ode to love”.
“Making a fragrance that smells like love is a renewed challenge. The composition has to be exciting and stirring, somewhat wild, and yet accessible. To that end I sculpted its florals facet, emphasising the power of its Roses in order to make it sensual and suggestive,” says François Demachy, Perfumer-Creator at Parfums Christian Dior. “I also doted it with extremely lively and exuberant notes, so that it would be instantly expressive and attractive. Lastly, I eliminated any dark, earthy notes. It had to burst forth like love at first sight.”
Ardent lovers of floral fragrances can partake in the heady yet addictive rose-backed trail of Miss Dior Eau de Parfum. The scent dominates with a combination of roses, including honeyed Grasse rose, Turkish Damascus rose and wild rose. A dash of citrus notes by way of blood orange, mandarin and Calabrian bergamot lends a fresh twist to it; while the base pink peppercorn and Guyanese rosewood leaves a vivid, sensual finish.
