L'Occitane debuts the ultimate skin-quenching range, the Aqua Réotier
Thirsty no more
More often than not, skin dilemmas are usually caused by a lack of hydration. Even if your skin feels oilier than usual, it is likely dehydrated, hence producing more oil to make up for the insufficient water in your skin (which also leads to breakouts, dry patches and more). But apart from keeping your water consumption levels in check to quench your skin's thirst, it's vital to incorporate efficient hydrating skincare to your everyday beauty routine.
Enter French beauty brand L'Occitane who is giving us a run for its money with the brand new Aqua Réotier range. This lineup is more than meets the eye: Its active ingredient is the water from the Réotier springs in Provence, France. But what makes this water different is a bountiful amount of calcium — we're talking 10 times more calcium than in French thermal water. This water has amassed a high level of mineral elements after traveling through underground tunnels for centuries — a blend of calcium and magnesium that works wonder for the skin.
Fun fact: The Réotier spring is recognised by the European Union as one of the Natura 2000 nature protection areas. Hence, L'Occitane has only limited its intake to 0.04% of the spring's annual production of water, at the same time protecting and preserving the site for generations to come. Below, indulge in the super fresh lineup from L'Occitane:
The star products are the Ultra Thirst-Quenching Gel and Cream. If you prefer a lightweight texture when it comes to moisturisers, go for the former for its recharging and moisturising properties. For extra hydration, use the Ultra Thirst-Quenching Cream that imparts a creamy, light texture that glides on smoothly. Both moisturisers have hyaluronic acid (to retain moisture), glycerin (to capture water molecules), and calcium-rich Réotier water, of course. The other three additions are the Water Gel Cleanser, Moisture Prep Essence, and Fresh Moisturising Mist to ensure your skin stays refreshed and hydrated all-day long.
L'Occitane Aqua Réotier is now available in stores and online.
