Celine launches its first cosmetics line in its history—here are the details

What should one expect from Celine’s inaugural makeup collection? From the product lineup to the muse that inspires it all, here’s the low-down.

Brat summer this, demure autumn that—whatever the ever-evolving beauty zeitgeist dictates as ‘in’ for the moment, one thing always rises above all: the classics. What comes to mind when one thinks of quintessential beauty? For us, it goes beyond just formulations and products—it’s a holistic celebration of femininity with a touch of indulgence. From crafting the perfect cat-eye to finding the perfect red lipstick, beauty is a ritual of empowerment that transcends the decades. Celebrating the timeless beauty of feminine ritual, Hedi Slimane, the Creative, Artistic and Image Director of Celine, introduces the first-ever Celine Beauté makeup line. 

Originally teased in March of this year, we finally have a first look at the cosmetics collection—and, spoiler alert—it’s exquisite. The line continues the Maison’s expansion into beauty, following the reintroduction of Celine’s Haute Parfumerie collection in 2019. 

American actress and model Ever Anderson stars in the debut campaign for Celine Beauté, La Collection de L’arc de Triomphe, featuring the pre-launch of the House’s new ‘Rouge Triomphe’ lipstick. Watch the campaign here:

 

 

The satin-finish lipstick is an ode to Slimane’s obsession with haute couture fabrics, featuring a light and creamy formula that envelops the lips with enviable pigment. Further, the high-performance formulation is composed of 89 per cent natural-origin ingredients which give it the classically radiant, hydrating and long-wearing finish that is highly coveted by lipstick lovers.

The lipstick also comes dressed in a luxurious, art deco-inspired faceted tube embossed with Celine’s Triomphe monogram—the same motif that is set to guide the rest of the collection’s optics. Speaking of which, the full collection is set to include a further 15 shades of lipsticks, as well as lip balms, mascaras, eyeliners, loose powder, blushers and nail polishes. In addition, miscellaneous pieces are also set to launch, including bottles, pencils, cases and objects that have been designed to seamlessly tie in the Parisian roots of the Maison. Essentially, it’s a full set of luxurious couture products that will serve all beauty rituals.
