The festive rush has been real these past few months. We’ve barely had time to process Christmas, yet Valentine’s Day is nigh and Chinese New Year is set to follow closely after. That’s not even considering Ramadan, too! With the back-to-back celebrations, it’s no wonder we’re all struggling to get into (or, rather, stay in) the festive spirit.
Fortunately, there’s an easy way to kick yourself into celebration mode: A great lippie. The right red can put you in the mood for auspicious festivities and romance alike, and thankfully, there are plenty of great new launches to treat your pout to.

Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Rouge Noir collection, RM235
Nothing captures the festive season quite like the perfect red, and Chanel’s latest limited-edition collection has that very concept in spades. Rouge Noir is a two-toned composition unlike any other; it’s a red that’s almost black, and a black that’s almost red. It’s a garnet that catches the light, intrigues, and captivates all at once.
The hue came into being the night before Chanel’s 1994/95 Autumn-Winter Ready-to-Wear show, as the brainchild of legendary Creative Directors Dominique Moncourtois, Heidi Morawetz, and Karl Lagerfeld. Now, in 2026, the Maison celebrates and pays homage to the historic shade in a limited-edition collection.
The staple of the collection is the iconic Rouge Allure Velvet, now available in four limited-edition shades, including 357 Irreverente, 267 Effrontee, 377 Audacieuse, and, of course, 387 Rouge Noir. The luminous matte formulation wears like a second skin, enhanced with a jojoba oil derivative and shea butter for a soft formula that moisturises the pout deeply. In addition, fine, highly concentrated pigments deliver intense colour payoff for an even, long-lasting look. In short, it’s the perfect companion to see you through this busy festive season.
Guerlain Blooming Denim Rouge G
For its Spring 2026 collection, Guerlain has revisited its cult favourite Rouge G lipstick, dressing up the lipstick case with a limited-edition collaboration with designer Nona Source. Staying true to the Maison’s commitment to circular design and sustainability, the refillable lipstick case collection puts an oft-visited material of the fashion world at its core: denim.
Each case repurposes deadstock denim, undertaking a painstaking process of dyeing, embossing, embroidering, and gold screen printing to transform the material into a precious collectable. There are three cases available in Malaysia: Cherry Blossom, a soft pink denim inspired by spring flowers; Denim Flora, a blue denim strewn with delicate floral motifs; and Red Rose, a bright red canvas embossed with voluptuous rose petals.
Of course, the case is made to contain the perfect lipstick formulation for you, and in the spirit of circularity, Guerlain has revived some archival shades. In velvet finishes are shades 205 Nude Amandine, 303 Rose Pivone, and 962 Tulip Noire. In satin finishes are 759 Prune Candide, 12 Brun Amarante, and 345 Rouge Boheme. All in all, it’s makeup and a statement rolled into one neat, exquisite package.
