It’s no wonder, then, that Gucci has embraced the bamboo plant as a modern symbol of creative energy, celebrating the Gucci woman’s versatile, confident and adaptable spirit.
The release of its new fragrance, Gucci Bamboo, RM260 (for a 30ml EDP bottle), is a tribute to her essence – a heady contrast of feminine Casablanca lily, orange blossom and ylang ylang, against more pronounced notes of deep sandalwood, grey amber accord and warm Tahitian vanilla. The scent comes housed in an art deco-style cut glass bottle, with the polished silver bamboo contours standing out against the blush-pink perfume.
Taking the reins of the Gucci Bamboo campaign is the striking Israeli actress, Gal Gadot, who’s due to make her most anticipated appearance yet as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice next year. As the face of the new fragrance, she stars in a video campaign this July that celebrates the complex facets of the Gucci woman’s personality: her intensity, her passion, and her fascination, with a veil of feminine sensuality encasing a core of steel.
