Tried-and-tested: 3 New flirty fragrances to sport this month

As we officially transition into both the endemic phase and the summer season, it’s time to get back out there both literally and romantically. But first—your hot girl summer is not complete without a flirty fragrance refresh.

Ahead, we’ve tried and tested three new fragrances that are perfect for date night (or day dates!)—from Chloé’s new natural vegan scent to Bulgari’s rosy bouquet, here are our faves:

Chloé

Nomade Eau de Parfum Naturelle

“To me, Chloé’s new Nomade Eau de Parfum Naturelle is familiar, in that it smells like something I’m very fond of, but simply cannot place. It evokes feelings of relief and excitement in me—of sunny holidays in Europe or vast landscapes unexplored. It’s hard to explain, but it’s a scent that has really grown on me. I’m already a big fan of the Chloé Eau de Parfum Naturelle, so it does make sense that I would gravitate towards this next instalment in the brand’s Naturelle fragrance line.

“A sensual blend of bergamot and Egyptian jasmine absolute is the first thing that you smell, alluring and floral to capture your attention. It then opens up into date accord, adding a sweetness that draws you further into the olfactory experience. Finally, to keep you coming back for more, gorgeous, subdued notes of vanilla and sandalwood lay at the base, warm and aromatic.

“True to the Naturelle line, each ingredient is sourced from 100 per cent natural origins while the packaging incorporates recycled materials. I love the bottle design—it’s chic and simple at first glance, but upon closer inspection, you’ll find it’s intricate in the details. Overall, while the first spritz is delightful, I must admit that this new fragrance doesn’t have the best lasting power. That said, it has quickly become a firm favourite in my ever-expanding collection!”— Redzhanna Jazmin, Beauty Writer

Bulgari

Rose Goldea Blossom Delight EDT 75ml, RM487

“If there’s a fragrance that mirrors our post-pandemic optimism and excitement, it’s Bulgari’s Rose Goldea Blossom Delight EDT. Drawing inspiration from the precious moment when a rose is about to blossom, the scent is an invitation to embrace possibility with open arms and a reminder that anything is possible.

“I would liken it to a warm spring day: the fresh and sparkling fragrance of rosebuds is elevated by the depth of Bulgari’s signature musk accord, giving it a sophistication befitting the Roman jeweller and the discerning, cosmopolitan woman.” — Adelina Tan, Deputy Editor

Gucci Beauty

Gucci Bloom Eau de Toilette 50ml, RM456

“Fans of Gucci Beauty’s Bloom fragrance line, rejoice! There’s a new addition to the family, and it’s the Gucci Bloom Eau de Toilette. The fragrance builds on the white floral signature of the Bloom line—the blend of jasmine bud, tuberose, and rangoon creeper—adding Neroli accord for a burst of brightness.

“Though the initial spritz is a bit too powerful for my tastes, it subsides quickly to leave a lingering dry down that I’ve grown to adore. It’s actually one of my favourite dry downs from the line, sweet and floral with a hint of sharpness. On my skin, it kind of smells like liquorice, under the floral overtones. Personally, I really enjoy it.”— Redzhanna Jazmin, Beauty Writer
