L’Occitane Beauty Market lands in Kuala Lumpur

L’Occitane brings a slice of Provençal bliss to the heart of Kuala Lumpur (specifically, Mid Valley Megamall) with its first ever Beauty Market in Malaysia. This flower-filled space has a chock-full of activities that you can explore i.e. eight stalls that feature L’Occitane’s bestsellers, including Pascale’s Essential Oils, the Reset Fountain—where water defies gravity, the Shea Butter Creamery and more.

Don’t forget to snap a pic down by the Walk of Aroma, where fresh blooms and crates of produce serve as the perfect backdrop for your Insta-worthy shot.

Selena Gomez may launch a beauty line

From Lady Gaga to Ariana Grande, it seems like every celebrity/singer/pop star is also an entrepreneur these days, and Selena Gomez is next on this bandwagon. According to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, a trademark was filed for “Selena Gomez” for beauty products ranging from fragrances and body care to cosmetics and nail products.

While no official news announcement has been made just yet, we’re looking forward to find out if the pop star will debut a double whammy—new album/single in conjunction with her beauty launch—in the near future.

Jessica Biel’s no-makeup selfie is giving us life

Jessica Biel is lending her support to fellow friend and supermodel Kate Upton’s #ShareStrong campaign with a no-makeup selfie—and we stan.

The 37-year old actress and mother took to Instagram to share the empowering message, with a caption that said: “Spreading some self love today with zero filter and zero makeup for my girl @KateUpton. She’s on a mission to encourage everyone to feel strong and love themselves *as they are*… and I’m so honored to help spread that message. Take a second to show the real you. Tag someone you admire and pass it on #ShareStrong.”

Jungkook of Korean boyband BTS debuts a new hairdo

BTS‘ “golden maknae” recently unveiled a new hairdo at the Lotte Duty Free Family Concert in Seoul and it’s making us swoon. While it’s no surprise that members of K-pop bands frequently switch up their hairstyles (and colours), Jungkook’s new look went viral on Twitter shortly after the performance for its edgier, performance-worthy vibe.

Sporting lengthier locks this time around, Jungkook gave new meaning to a summer-ready aesthetic (think a dude version of #hotgirlsummer) with a centre-parted wet look comprising messy waves—made masculine. Thoughts on Kookie’s new look?

Chrissy Teigen says goodbye to her sweaty armpits

You can always trust Twitter queen, model and entrepreneur Chrissy Teigen to go #unfiltered with the raddest body treatments that may or may not raise a few questions from the masses. She recently documented her appointment with plastic surgeon Dr Jason Diamond as he injected Botox into her armpits as a bid to quell sweaty underarms.

What is popularly used to minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles can also be used to paralyse sweat glands, and Botox is actually an FDA-approved treatment to treat hyperhidrosis i.e. excessive sweating. The effects can last up to eight months, and as Teigen proudly vouches, it is “truly [the] best move” she has ever made.

Miley Cyrus goes blonde (and lauches a new single)

A week after the news broke that Miley Cyrus is splitting from her longtime beau and husband Liam Hemsworth, the singer is proving that she’s ready to move on with a new hair colour coupled with a new tune. Repping blonde locks that veer towards the lighter-toned territory (as opposed to her previous highlights) on her Instagram feed, Cyrus is looking fresh-faced, fit, and seriously fab—and we’re in awe of her strength.

Fenty Beauty has a new eyebrow pencil collection

Two weeks after launching a foundation range tailored for dry skin types, Rihanna isn’t slowing down the reins just yet. The beauty mogul made an appearance at a beauty conference in Las Vegas recently to give the audience .a sneak peek of Fenty Beauty’s Ultra Fine Pencil—brow pencils that come in 14 shades ranging from beige and red to chestnut and dark brown.

The release date is scheduled for August 23 in Sephora USA, but no official news announcement has been made on its availability on our shores.
