L’Eau d’Issey: An all-new, fluid and dynamic look by Issey Miyake

14 years ago, Issey Miyake was inspired by water and its purity in movement for his first fragrance, L’Eau d’Issey. Since then, the scent become a symbol of modernity throughout the years and remains a classic scent that’s also contemporary in a way. Fast forward to 2015, Parfums Issey Miyake has revamped the image of the iconic fragrance, with London-based photo- and videographer Marcus Tomlinson spearheading the new campaign, featuring new visuals in a set of virtual running water-symbolising the freedom of spatial constraints and war’s paradoxical energy.

With the main idea of creating a fragrance that breaks the olfactory stereotypes of the day, Issey Miyake’s nonconformist scent represents convergence of the East and West in its own distinctiveness—evident in the top notes of L’Eau d’Issey, which combines lotus, rose, lily, and precious woods. For the fragrance-loving men who enjoy a classic masculine scent, L’Eau d’Issey pour Homme is a unique choice that is fresh, spicy and woody at the same time, thanks to yuzu and tangerine notes with a dash of verbena, aromatic coriander and blue water lily encased in a frosted glass and steel bottle.
