It’s official—looking like you’re in the pink of health (quite literally) is the upcoming season’s biggest beauty trend. If you’ve always shied away from this ultra sweet hue because it’s a tad too saccharine for your makeup taste, a handful of beauty looks from the runways of Spring/Summer 2017 shows us that it is possible to work pink into your beauty routine without looking like you’ve gotten sunburnt or a pink eye. Here’s how you can do it:

The trick to easing your way to pulling pink off via your eye makeup is to go with a finish that complements your eyes. Try a glossy look spotted at Emporio Armani with matching lips in the same hue, or Delpozo’s understatedly romantic look with peach undertones. If you are feeling adventurous, channel a bolder look seen at Hermès by blending matte pink eyeshadow on your upper eyelids and a dark grey on the lower lids.

Naturally, a dust of blush across the cheekbones is the easiest way to wear pink on your face. But why not pack a punch this time around with draping? Contour your cheeks with blush extending upwards to the area next to your eyes (seen at Chanel) for a lovely flushed look. Or you can go with a graphic swipe of cream blush over your cheekbones to make a statement (Max Mara).

What we love about pink lippies is how it gives your overall complexion a naturally radiant look. Tinted lipbalms are basically lifesavers on days that we don’t have time for makeup—Dior and Preen featured subtle pink lips teemed with a no-makeup makeup look. Switch it up in the evening with a brilliant fuchsia lip colour (Cushnie et Ochs) before you head out to paint the town red.
