Apart from its quality leather accessories and ready-to-wear collection, iconic American brand Coach can now proudly add ‘fragrance’ to its reportoire with the new Coach Eau de Parfum. “What I wanted to create was something different, an alternative to what’s already out there. For me, it was about finding what makes Coach unique. It’s that lightness of American spirit with the known and familiar—and now new proportions,” says creative director of Coach, Stuart Vevers.
Also known as Coach The Fragrance, this sparkling, sensual scent is made for the woman who’s got a free-spirited nature that’s spontaneous as it is feminine—eloquently taking after the same energy and downtown style of the city that Coach was founded in back in 1941. And who better than talented award-winning actress Chloë Grace Moretz to rep this perfume’s campaign? Shot by Steven Meisel, the imagery sees 19-year old Moretz lounging in a vintage Cadillac before making her way downtown to New York City.
The fragrance’s bottle pays tribute to the American house of leather, featuring Coach’s iconic codes such as the gold turnlock spray cap (resembling the clasp on Coach’s bags), a hangtag in ebony leather and polished meteal, along with the horse and carriage logo engraved into the glass. But the scent is the real treat when it comes to this one: The fragrance opens with a bright whiff of raspberry, pear and pink pepper, before alluding to the creamy floral Turkish roses and gardenia, later on drying down to base notes of sensual, suede musk and sandalwood.
Coach The Fragrance comes in 90ml (RM399), 50ml (RM299), and 30ml (RM189), and will be available from October 2016 at all Coach boutiques nationwide.
