The new Burberry Her EDP captures the free spirit of London in the most eloquent way
Brit-chic in a bottle
What smells quintessentially British, yet exudes an effortlessly feminine sentiment? The answer lies in Burberry's latest fragrance offering, Her. If the name doesn't quite pique your curiosity, let's just say that it isn't your typical fragrance from the heritage-rich fashion house. Crafted by perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, Burberry Her EDP is a vibrant scent that is both fruity and floral—perfect for those who naturally gravitate towards either profile.
The first fragrance to launch after the appointment of Riccardo Tisci at the helm, Burberry Her explores a new territory previously unexplored by the brand. Everything—from the bottle design to the fragrance composition—alludes to a new femininity that would appeal very much with the modern woman.
"Her Eau de Parfum by Burberry is unique because it is a memorable signature. To achieve that, you need a strong accord, an olfactive story that translates your vision," says Kurkdjian. "The combination of these sunburst berries and British spirit blended with the ambery musky accord brings this very unique signature. You can immediately recognise when someone is wearing it. It’s a signature scent."
Opening with sparkling top notes of red and dark berries (blackcurrant, blueberry and raspberry), Burberry Her's delightful twist comes by way of floral notes of jasmine and violet at the heart; while a heady base of dry amber and musk leaves a delectable trail. The bottle itself speaks volumes—the unique shape is referenced from Burberry's first fragrance that was launched in 1981, Burberrys for Men. The millennial pink glass bottle is made from smooth curved glass, and you can personalise your very own Burberry Her with engraved initials on a gold charm around the bottle's neck.
With an energetic new scent with a fresh look to boot, who better than British actress Cara Delevingne to represent Burberry Her? In a series of candid images, photographer Juergen Teller captures Delevingne's adventurous spirit as she ambles around her hometown of London. Don't miss out on the accompanying video to this campaign, featuring Delevingne belting her rendition of 'Maybe It's Because I'm A Londoner'.
Burberry Her is now available online and at all leading department stores in Malaysia. Drop by Pavilion Kuala Lumpur (Bukit Bintang entrance) from 29 Oct - 4 Nov to glean more about this scent.
