Body contouring and the aesthetic procedure that’s improving sexual gratification

Dr Chee, can you please tell us how you got into the aesthetics field?

I was previously a medical officer in the paediatrics department, and in my time there, I learned to be meticulous in treating my patients, to be gentle and be a good listener. I’ve always been keen on beauty and found the aesthetics industry to be an exciting one so I decided to switch fields. Being a perfectionist, I enjoy helping my clients enhance their overall appearance, which helps boost their confidence.

 

Tell us about Signature Clinic?

Signature Clinic provides customised treatments according to our client’s needs. We offer all sorts of aesthetic treatments, from head to toe, with particular focus on body contouring, and sculpting treatments. We have 4 different types of body contouring machines imported from the U.S. with FDA approval to target different requirements, as we believe in combining different treatments for optimal results.

 

What are some of your most popular treatments?

CoolSculpting, a non-surgical fat-reduction treatment, combined with other body contouring treatments such as double chin, flabby arms, and abdomen. Our Signature laser treatment, using the Dual Yellow laser system, for face rejuvenation, pigmentation, acne, and spider veins are also very popular.

Aesthetic enhancements used to be done in a hush-hush manner but people are starting to be more open about the work they’ve done. Why do you think there has been this shift in perception?

Social media plays an important role in this situation. It makes aesthetic procedures more acceptable. Besides, the younger generation are more open-minded about it, and most procedures do not require down time and they are able to obtain good results without having to go under the knife.

 

What are some current trends in aesthetic medicine you’re excited about?

Stem cell therapy, and vaginal rejuvenation. Stem cell therapy has anti-aging and therapeutic functions, designed to heal or rejuvenate problem areas. Stem cells are capable of regeneration and differentiation into a wide range of specialised cell types. Once injected, they follow inflammatory signals from damaged tissues and have multiple ways of repairing these damaged areas. It’s a treatment that we’re planning on bringing in soon to Signature Clinic.

 

Non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation, also known as vaginal tightening, is getting increasingly popular in the aesthetic field. Loss of vaginal tightness, with decreased sexual gratification, is incredibly common, especially for women who have had multiple childbirths. The procedure helps improve sexual satisfaction, confidence, and self-esteem. While it’s not actually new in the market, I’ve noticed an increasing demand for it.

 

Can you please tell us more about the procedure for vaginal rejuvenation?

It is a laser treatment that utilises laser beams to emit thermal heating to the inner layers of the vaginal tissue. The heat produced stimulates collagen and elastin production, and subsequently promotes the regeneration of vaginal tissue. The procedure also allows women to have better control over urinary incontinence, especially for those experiencing stress urinary incontinence after childbirth. It is a lunch-break procedure, and women enjoy it without the inconvenience of downtime or pain. 

 

When it comes to aesthetic procedures, is there such a thing as starting too young?

No, in fact, it is good to start young as there are a lot of anti-aging procedures, which act as maintenance for younger individuals.

 

What’s your beauty regime like?

I use our Signature cleanser, moisturiser, and sunblock daily. Twice a week, I use a hydrating face mask.
