Beauty buzz: Bobbi Brown introduces their first-ever Global Artistic Director, Strip Malaysia revolutionises the laser hair removal game
From the latest launches to the biggest headlines, here’s are some things you may have missed in beauty this month.
Anastasia Beverly Hills launches their Spring 2021 Collection
The accented rose-gold collection has you covered in three key areas: Face, brows, and lips.
The star product, the Brow Freeze, is an ultimate clear wax formula that delivers long-lasting, extreme hold on your laminated-look brows. Next, the Iced Out Highlighter is a highly-pigmented and buildable formula that ensures a seamless glow-from-within effect.
Finally, we have two incredible gloss options; the delectably peach-scented Crystal Lip Gloss delivers a clear, glass-like shine while the lovely vanilla-scented Diamond Lip Gloss is all about high-shine luminosity. The best part? Both are perfectly gorgeous without compromising on comfort, thanks to its weightless, non-sticky formula.

Though you may not yet be acquainted with Hannah Murray (the makeup artist, not the actress who plays Gilly in Game Of Thrones), you are bound to recognise her work. With an impressive clientele that includes the likes of Bella Hadid, Kim Kardashian, Adut Akech, and Zendaya, Murray has had a rather colourful career both on and off the runway.
Now, she’s taking the next step—the highly-sought makeup artist has been tapped as Bobbi Brown’s first-ever Global Artistic Director. The brand’s President, Sandra Main, said this of the appointment: “Hannah Murray’s aesthetic and beauty philosophy dovetails with what Bobbi Brown Cosmetics has always stood for: encouraging all women to embrace their natural beauty. The basis of all her looks for celebrities, models and real women is grounded in healthy, fresh, glowing skin. We are so thrilled to have her usher in a new era at Bobbi Brown.”
In her new role, Murray will continue to elevate and cultivate the brand’s global talent pool, guiding and inspiring the brand’s many international makeup artists. Further, she will be contributing to the brand’s social content, as well as leading the direction at any NYFW shows.
Murray’s first campaign in her new role will debut in July 2021—stay tuned to see it!
The Boss The Scent series gets a refresh

If you’re looking for a new signature scent, Boss has you covered. The infamous Boss The Scent series just got an upgrade with the launch of their latest duo, Pure Accord. A playful take on the game of seduction, the scents toe the line between tenderness and complicity.
The duo includes two scents: For Him, and For Her. Pure Accord For Him is a spicy, masculine perfume with fresh notes of ginger, exotic Maninka fruit, and white suede, evoking a feeling of warmth. Pure Accord For Her, on the other hand, is a revitalising scent, rife with sparkling bergamot, osmanthus flower, and musk that finds softness in strength.
Both fragrances are not available at Sephora.
Versace’s new fragrance is a hero
From the ashes of pure passion and love rises the new Versace perfume, Eros. The legend states that Eros, the Greek god of love, passion, and physical desire had the power to make you fall in love with just his arrow. He would select his target without warning, leaving them powerless to the whims of sensuality.
Somehow, this fragrance captures just that exactly. The woody accord of the scent is rooted in notes of cedar, vetiver, and patchouli, while Italian lemon, vanilla, and candied apple add a delightful twist. The result? A creamy, vibrant scent that serves as a fatal and provocative weapon.
Donatella Versace herself explained the inspiration behind the scent, stating: “I envisioned a heroic, passionate an, almost a Greek god. The fragrance is made up of notes that express sensuality and power, and extreme force”.
Strip Malaysia introduces the next generation in semi-permanent hair removal tech
Overwhelmed by all your options for hair removal? We’ve just found you the best (and newest) solution to your woes. Strip Malaysia has introduced the latest in hair removal technology—AFT.
The treatment is an improvement on traditional IPL in three ways: Firstly, AFT uses a narrower wavelength than IPL’s broad wavelength to ensure a more targeted and precise treatment. Secondly, the AFT features a built-in cooling system to ensure a comfortable and painless hair removal experience. Finally, the AFT uses a larger, custom-made crystal applicator to ensure maximum results with minimal risk.
