From London to New York: The Best Fashion Moments From ‘The Odyssey’ Press Tour

Few stories have travelled as far through history as Homer’s The Odyssey, an epic tale of adventure, ambition and the longing for home. For Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated adaptation, that journey has extended beyond the screen, with its cast bringing the film to cities around the world through a series of premieres and appearances.

At each stop, the red carpet became a new chapter, with fashion choices reflecting the film’s grand mythology, cinematic scale and spirit of exploration. Below, we revisit the best-dressed moments from the press tour.

London Calls

There was an unspoken dress code in London, and everyone seemed to understand the assignment. The cast arrives for the daytime photocall dressed almost exclusively in soft whites, warm neutrals and fluid silhouettes, subtly evoking the world of The Odyssey without slipping into theatrical territory.

Zendaya leads the lineup in a backless Jacquemus gown styled with a matching headscarf, while Anne Hathaway brings a touch of romance in a Blumarine look. Lupita Nyong’o opts for a Chanel dress with a thigh-high slit, while Samantha Morton chooses a draped Alexander McQueen design. Tom Holland and Robert Pattinson complete the lineup in looks from Prada and Visvim WMV, respectively.

By nightfall, the mood shifts to full red-carpet glamour. Dior dresses Anne Hathaway in a blue silk gown, Mia Goth in an embroidered white dress and Robert Pattinson in a sharp grey wool suit.

Elsewhere, Lupita Nyong’o shines in a crystal Christian Cowan gown, Charlize Theron embraces old-Hollywood elegance in a black velvet Givenchy dress paired with the house’s signature Bonbon gloves, and Samantha Morton wears a minimalist black Bottega Veneta dress punctuated by bold red earrings.

Zendaya delivers not one, but two looks for the premiere. Her first appearance sees her in a Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown fresh from the Paris runway, before she steps out in a draped Valentino dress adorned with an intricate olive-green leaf-appliqué bodice. Tom Holland joins her in a navy Gieves & Hawkes suit.

A Parisian Affair

Paris naturally calls for a little drama. With the Eiffel Tower as their backdrop, the cast leans into the city’s fashion heritage for the photocall, with Zendaya going straight into the Givenchy archives and reviving a Spring 1997 Haute Couture dress accessorised with Philip Treacy’s gold face mask.

Anne Hathaway channels old-world glamour in a midnight blue Prada gown, while Lupita Nyong’o sparkles in Armani Privé. Charlize Theron goes for a laid-back Tom Ford look, pairing a tailored blazer with pale yellow and blue silk shorts. Tom Holland takes a utilitarian turn in Balenciaga.

For the premiere, Louis Vuitton dresses Zendaya and Anne Hathaway in two distinct visions of eveningwear. Zendaya arrives in a white cut-out gown paired with a lace-trimmed bolero, while Hathaway chooses a brown silk empire plissé dress.

Charlize Theron turns to custom Dior for a black-and-beige embroidered gown, while Lupita Nyong’o chooses a red Chanel cut-out dress. Matt Damon and Tom Holland bring a sharp finish to the lineup, with Damon in Brunello Cucinelli and Holland in Anderson & Sheppard bespoke.

New York Energy

New York City brought the curtain down on the press tour, with the cast delivering one final set of fashion moments worth remembering. Zendaya arrives in perhaps her most unexpected look yet—a white Matières Fécales dress complete with feathered wings. Anne Hathaway wears Prada’s finely pleated gown with a crystal-embroidered bodice, while Lupita Nyong’o wears Nicholas Oakwell Couture’s gold lace design.

Charlize Theron continues her Dior run in a sharp mini tuxedo dress, while Samantha Morton embraces Maison Margiela’s avant-garde codes in a sculptural robe-like design. Matt Damon channels classic American style with Ralph Lauren Purple Label, and Tom Holland steps out in an all-black Fear of God suit.
