1. DISCOVER YOUR NEW FAVOURITE ARTIST AT THE KL ILLUSTRATION FAIR 2026

When: 1 to 3 May 2026 | 11am to 8pm

Where: GMBB, Kuala Lumpur

The city’s biggest celebration of regional art talents is back! The KL Illustration Fair is perhaps one of the most highly anticipated events in the local creative space, bringing together a slew of regional graphic artists, illustrators, and creators together under one roof. Each of them will be bringing their own unique art styles to the city centre in the form of stickers, posters, t-shirts, and so much more. Make sure you load up your e-wallets and bring a reusable bag because we don’t think you’ll be leaving empty-handed!

2. BRING YOUR BOOZY A-GAME TO KL COCKTAIL WEEK 2026’S FESTIVAL VILLAGE

When: 2 May 2026 | 1.30pm to 12am (Last pour at 11.30pm)

Where: Sentul Depot

KL Cocktail Week 2026 has taken over the city’s top bars and this Saturday, it’s heading to Sentul Depot for its annual Festival Village. Across the entire day, you’ll get to rub shoulders and clink glasses with brands, bartenders, and fellow drinkers in celebration of the industry as a whole. The schedule also includes performances, games, food, masterclasses, and more, so you won’t be going bored no matter how long you choose to spend there.

3. CELEBRATE COLOURS, CREATIVITY & COMMUNITY AT BLOOMPHORIA

The Messy Club is joining forces with Indonesian curators Sukaria Market to bring your Bloomphoria this weekend! Its vendors will be bringing all things crafty and creative to its stalls, so you can get your hands on some whimsical items from handmade accessories to home essentials. There will also be snacks and desserts on-site so you can keep fueled throughout your shopping spree.

4. UPDATE YOUR CLOSET WITH SOME VINTAGE GEMS AT SECOND LIFE MARKETS

Second Life Markets is back and it’s bringing 30 of Southeast Asia’s top vintage curators together, so you can shop ‘til you drop. 5. FIND SIGNIFICANCE IN THE EVERYDAY AT ‘A Path Carved By My Returning’ BY ILHAM ALSHAHAB

When: 2 May to 23 July 2026 

Where: The Dia Space

Over at The Dia Space, Ilham Alshahab is hosting her second solo exhibition, inspired by her quest for significance in her daily life. The pieces reflect the artist’s perception of her own cycling route, which has become a tool for her to hone in on details that usually go unnoticed. Her pieces usually span mediums and methods, but this exhibition has opened a new realm for her: oil pastels. What starts as a painted surface turns into a detailed, textured canvas that reveals layers in her memories of her surroundings.
