Inside the New Timetic Range From Shiseido Professional

We joined Shiseido Professional at the launch of its newest hair care range at Park Hyatt KL earlier this week. Here’s why the Timetic trio is worthy of a spot on your vanity.

Since its debut in 2019, Shiseido Professional’s Sublimic line has earned cult status among professionals, creatives, and beauty enthusiasts alike. Blending Japanese heritage with science and sensoriality, the range has set out to restore and rejuvenate your scalp and hair to its full potential.

Now, in 2025, Shiseido Professional has unveiled its most elevated scalp and hair care range under the Sublimic umbrella to date: Timetic. Created especially for Asian consumers, the line has just launched across eight countries and regions in Asia, including Japan, China, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.

The Sublimic Timetic line comes in response to the rise in demand for premium hair care solutions, offering a sophisticated balance of luxury and efficacy. Ahead, we delve into the science behind the new range and our experience with it:

The science behind Timetic

The human body’s functions are determined by the circadian rhythm, a natural biological rhythm that regulates regenerative and defensive functions in the body over the course of a 24-hour cycle. As a general rule, the defensive functions of the body tend to become active during the day, while the regenerative functions of the body become active at night. Like every other part of the body, the scalp is also programmed to this cycle.

Shiseido Professional’s Sublimic Timetic range is inspired by this innate rhythm, and the formulations work in harmony with the circadian rhythm to protect and renew the scalp throughout the day while shielding against external damage. The result? Lustrous, healthy hair.

The entire range is powered by an exclusive blend of advanced ingredients called the Timetic Complex. This complex comes together to boost radiance, deeply hydrate, protect the hair and improve the scalp barrier all in one. 

The first ingredient in this complex is Chrono Chardy, a grape extract from the high-quality Chardonnay Vitis Vinifera grown in Nagano, Japan. This extract supports the scalp’s circadian rhythm, enhancing barrier function and boosting moisture.

The second key ingredient is PhytoCuticle, a biomimetic ingredient that is close in structure to our natural hair cuticles. This allows it to be easily absorbed into the hair for efficient damage repair and protection against external aggressors. 

Finally, a blend of Punica granatum seed oil, hydrolysed rice protein, and dipropylenglycol comes together to deeply hydrate the scalp and hair. 

The Timetic family

There are three consumer products within the range, including the Timetic Premium Shampoo, the Timetic Premium Hair Mask, and the Timetic Premium Hair Serum. The Shampoo has a rich lather that gently clarifies the scalp and hair without stripping it of hydration and moisture. The Hair Mask is pure indulgence, boasting a creamy, gold-infused texture that glides smoothly through the hair and deeply repairs and moisturises. The Hair Serum, a lightweight leave-in treatment, works on both damp and dry hair to repair, shield, and shine the hair for lasting silkiness. 

In addition, the range also features two salon-exclusive formulations, including the Timetic Premium Treatment I and the Timetic Premium Treatment II. The first prepares and hydrates the hair in order to optimise absorption for subsequent treatments. The second works together with the Hair Mask to seal cuticles and enhance repair and protection.
