Stop the presses! The food-ification of the beauty industry has continued to progress at alarming speeds, and we are actually very into it. We’ve seen chocolate caramel lowlights and strawberry girl blush galore, and now it’s time to make space for SS25’s contender: banana yellow.
In case you haven’t noticed, the hue has been absolutely everywhere as of late. It goes by many names, too, whether it’s lemon sherbet, mango sticky rice, or pineapple sorbet. Either way, the point is that you know it when you see it, and we’ve seen it, alright.
We first spotted the trend in Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Manchild’ music video via a conspicuous bag of banana-flavoured Prada gummies (spoiler alert: it was a teaser for the new Prada Balm in Banana Yellow). Frankly, it’s been hard to miss.
