Mercedes-Benz Malaysia launches GLC Coupé, GLS and the iconic G-Class

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has now come full circle as they complete the premium SUV range with the launch of the GLC Coupé and GLS, as well as the unveiling of the iconic G-Class yesterday at KLPAC. Here’s a gist of their latest automobiles:

GLC Coupé

From its sleek and sporty AMG Line exterior to the luxurious Artico leather seats within to the 9G-TRONIC PLUS that delivers a full 9-speed transmission, this new premium mid-sized Sports Utility Coupé is all about making statements. It’s as efficient as it’s comfortable, it’s as powerful – it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds – as its presence.

The new Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupé retails at RM423,888 or RM428,888 (with Burmester Surround Sound System).

GLS

It’s the S-Class amongst the SUVs. This full-fledged seven-seater boasts luxury, comfort, agile dynamics and the best in class safety. With a capacity of up to 2,300 litres, its boot space is just as impressive. Some of the highlights of this generation of GLS include extended Dynamic Select transmission modes, the latest air suspension system Airmatic with enhanced damping system ADS, the 9-speed 9G-TONIC automatic transmission, assistance systems and the latest telematics generation with internet access. On the other hand, the GLS 400 4MATIC is powered by a V6 biturbo engine – also featuring direct injection – producing an 480 Nm of torque from 1,600 rpm.

The new Mercedes-Benz GLS retails from RM888,888 onwards.

G-Class

Nicknamed ‘The Godfather of SUVs’, the G-Class is a classic and an original. Conceived in 1979, it has since evolved tremendously as a vehicle to be used primarily in tough off-road terrain and today, it’s the top model among luxury-class cross-country vehicles. The new Mercedes AMG G 63 impresses with its majestic presence, which is a timeless and unmistakable design, and with its state-of-the-art drive technology. Combine just the AMG 5.5-litre V8 biturbo engine that delivers an output of 420 kW (571 hp); and the AMG Speedshift Plus 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission system that enables it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds with a top speed of 210 km/h (electronically limited) and you’ll have yourself a beauty meets beast.

The Mercedes-AMG G 63 retails at approximately RM1,181,888.
