Now on until 4 February ’18, ‘Here We Are’ by Burberry @ Paris

Burberry brings its photography exhibition to Paris, showcasing the works of 20th century’s most celebrated social and commentary photographers near Place de La République at 11 rue Béranger. Also on display will Burberry’s September 2018 collection, which falls in theme with the exhibition highlighting the British way of life and character.

Now on until 11 February ’18, ‘Past’ @ Battersea Power Station, London

Curated by our columnist Zena Khan, ‘Past’ features the works of six artists based in Malaysia and the UK, namely Ahmad Shukri, Azad Daniel, Haafiz Shahim and Masnoor Ramli from Kuala Lumpur, as well as London-based Jakob Rowlinson and Larry Amponsah. Staged at Circus West Village, Battersea Power Station, the exhibition serves to build deeper connections through cultural exchange between the two nations with a linked history.

7 – 11 February ’18, Art Rotterdam Week @ Rotterdam

If you are lucky enough to be in town for the week, explore Rotterdam’s artsy side as the entire city is filled with art fairs, special exhibitions, open studios and pop-up shows. The art fairs—Art Rotterdam, Rotterdam Contemporary Art Fair and Object Rotterdam—are no doubt the major attractions of the week. There will be free shuttle service between the locations too.

Now on until 15 February ’18, ‘Martin Scorsese Presents Republic Rediscovered: New Restorations from Paramount Pictures’ @ MoMA, New York City

The first chapter of a two-part series organised with The Film Foundation and Paramount Pictures’, the program will be screening 30 films through 15 February, including Alfred Santell’s That Brennan Girl (1946) and Hellfire (1949) by R. G. Springsteen.

3 February – 18 March ’18, Gangwon International Biennale @ Green City Experience Centre, Gangwon-do

If you are going to be in Gangwon Province for the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Games, take a cultural detour to the Gangwon International Biennale in your free time. Themed ‘The Dictionary of Evil’, there will be over 100 artworks by both Korean and international artists on show.

Now on until 3 June ’18, ‘Art from the Streets’ @ ArtScience Museum, Singapore

The ‘Art from the Streets’ exhibition—the first of its kind in Southeast Asia—celebrates the 40 years of the street art movement, marking its rise from illegal drawing on walls to socially and culturally accepted contemporary art. Discover the works of Banksy, JR, Shepard Fairey (Obey), Invader and Invader, amongst other notable international names, as well as local and regional street artists.
