The horology industry in Malaysia continues to flourish as Tudor debuts its largest boutique yet in collaboration with esteemed watch retailer Cortina Watch. Situated at Pavilion Damansara Heights, this expansive new space covers 100 square metres, styled in the brand’s hallmark hues of black, red and white. Upon entering, guests are greeted by a bold ‘Born To Dare’ signage, a testament to its founder, Hans Wilsdorf’s daring vision, set against a backdrop of curated material that enhances the immersive brand experience. The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch undergoes a striking transformation with the addition of a lacquered white dial. First seen on the wrist of brand ambassador Daniel Craig, the captivating model presents a modern reinterpretation of the original 1957 version, featuring refined black detailing and newly applied indexes that elevate its elegance.

When looked at closely, the black anodized aluminium bezel of each timepiece has been given a famous ‘Dot over Ninety’ on the tachymeter scale. The designers have also introduced a vibrant red Speedmaster name and a glossy lacquered finish across the entire dial—a pioneering technique never before seen on the Moonwatch’s iconic step dial. The 42mm timepiece comes equipped with a vintage-inspired stainless steel bracelet and is powered by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861, the latest iteration of the legendary Calibre 321.

Breitling opens its second Malaysian flagship store in Kuala Lumpur

Earlier this month, Breitling launched its latest standalone boutique at The Exchange TRX, showcasing a fusion of modern retro aesthetics and contemporary design. The new location exudes a sophisticated charm with vintage decor elements juxtaposed against streamlined industrial features, paying homage to Breitling’s iconic loft concept. Exposed brick walls, rich dark wood floors, and Edison pendant lights create an ambience of warmth and intimacy, while the expansive floor-to-ceiling windows offer breathtaking views of the city skyline. The boutique is impeccably furnished with tasteful accents, including a striking Triumph Speed Twin bike in Matt Storm Grey, adding an extra layer of rugged elegance. Moreover, two exclusive VIP lounge areas feature plush leather seating, providing a comfortable setting for private consultations, personalised services, and exclusive previews of the brand’s latest collections.
