Thirty-seven years after its debut, Chanel has revamped the Première Édition Originale watch with the Première Sound: a chic long sautoir necklace that features both a watch and wired headphones. The wristwatch seamlessly transforms into a necklace that connects with a smartphone or any audio device with a simple click. The headphones come equipped with a microphone and remote control for adjusting volume, managing audio and video playback, and handling phone calls—much like your regular earphones but chic. After serving as a Fred ambassador in China for the last three years, Guan Xiaotong has been elevated to the role of global brand ambassador, following in the footsteps of BTS’ Jin. According to the French brand, the Chinese actress was selected for her passion and boundless energy, which capture the essence of the house. Her confident and glamorous personality, along with her inner strength and virtues resonated deeply with the spirit of Fred. In a statement, she expressed, “The Maison aligns so closely with my own values of strength and authenticity. I really look forward to many new experiences that lie ahead with Fred.”

 

Bvlgari’s Serpenti Factory arrives in Beijing

After a two-year journey across numerous cities, including New York, London, Dubai and Milan, the Serpenti Factory—a global artistic initiative celebrating Bvlgari’s legendary Serpenti symbol—has arrived in Beijing. The ‘Serpenti Infinite Tales’ exhibition at the Genesis Art Gallery marks the final stop of this international tour, featuring the highest participation from both local and international artists. Among the participating artists are Cate M Mercier, Hong Seung-Hye, Qian Lihuai, Quayola, Daniel Rozin, Shanliang, Wu Junyong, Yang Yuanyuan, Cheng Pengpeng, Jiang Ruiying, Qi Le, and Zheng Jiayan. An opening ceremony was recently held, with Bvlgari brand ambassadors Yifei Liu and Leo Wu, as well as Bvlgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin in attendance. 

The ‘Serpenti Infinite Tales’ exhibition is now open to the public and will run until August 18, 2024.

Ariana Grande’s stellar year takes on yet another new turn as she becomes the latest face of Swarovski. Earlier this month, Dolce & Gabbana revealed its latest Alta Gioielleria collection in Sardinia. The iconic jewel of this Sardinian tradition is the gold button, which takes the form of a double dome topped by a small cylinder that can hold a semi-precious stone or a prized gem. To craft these masterpieces, the Italian house employs filigree, an ancient jewellery-making technique performed entirely by hand. This process involves traditional methods of drawing and weaving fine gold threads. Additionally, each gemstone is meticulously mounted, transforming every piece into a testament to the island’s rich heritage and dedication to preserving its cultural traditions.

Located on the first floor, the store vividly reflects the Swiss brand’s bold and distinctive character, covered in its iconic black, red and white colours, which capture its innovative and adventurous spirit. Longines finds a new home at Mid Valley Megamall

Following the launch of its largest Malaysian boutique at The Exchange TRX, Longines has opened yet another boutique on the ground floor of Mid Valley Megamall. Managed by Watatime, this 1,027-square-foot boutique embodies the brand’s latest global design concept. The exterior features a sleek, elegant facade that highlights a curated selection of timepieces.
