BURO Spotlights: Fred’s first boutique in Malaysia

2024 has been a remarkable year for the local jewellery scene, with an impressive influx of prestigious brands entering high-end shopping malls in Kuala Lumpur. Among the prominent newcomers is Fred, the acclaimed French jewellery house under the LVMH Group. Celebrated for its innovative and contemporary designs, Fred has recently revealed its first Malaysian boutique at Seibu in The Exchange TRX. This launch marks a huge step in the brand’s strategic expansion throughout Southeast Asia, showcasing its dedication to introducing its distinctive creative vision to new audiences.
The new Fred boutique embodies the allure of the French Riviera with its luminous window displays and visuals. The gradient walls transition elegantly from the brand’s iconic blue to rich gold, mirroring the sun’s journey from dawn to dusk. Plush carpets, patterned to mimic sea foam on sandy beaches, draw the guests deeper into the Fred universe.
The décor features Art Deco elements that pay tribute to the arches of Fred’s original Parisian boutique, while sunsets and swaying palm trees evoke the charm of the South of France. This meticulously crafted space not only celebrates the Riviera’s natural splendour but also highlights the brand’s commitment to providing a sophisticated and immersive shopping experience.
Other than that, the boutique boasts a private lounge area for bespoke consultations, offering an intimate and personalised setting where guests can experience Fred’s creations in an exclusive setting. Here, you can discover some of its well-known collections such as Force 10, Chance Infinie, Pretty Woman and exquisite High Jewellery pieces. Each series exemplifies the brand’s signature elegance as The Sunshine Jeweller.
Fred recently hosted a grand opening event, featuring a special appearance by Thai actor and Friend of the Brand, Mew Suppasit. Known for embodying the brand’s joie de vivre, Mew added a touch of glamour to the occasion, donning a glossy blue suit complemented by pieces from the Force 10 collection, which includes a necklace, three bracelets, two rings, and a pair of earrings.
The event also saw the attendance of distinguished local personalities such as our May cover star Alicia Amin, our June cover star Gaston Pong, as well as Jane Chuck, Han Pin Ma, Jestinna Kuan, Perry Kuan, Zhen Ning, Jack Goh, Fyrone Taylor, Felicia Lee, Joe Shiang, and Josh Kua, all of whom added further prestige to the celebration.
