Langkawi will soon welcome another grand resort to its shores, giving travellers an additional choice to luxury accommodation on the tropical island. Tucked between a 10 million-year-old rainforest and a private cove, the Ritz-Carlton Langkawi is promising in many ways. For starters, it is located 30 minutes away from Kuah Town via car and is approximately a 10-minute drive from Langkawi International Airport.
The main inspiration for the architecture is a traditional kampung village, housing a total of 90 guest rooms and 29 villas. In addition, the resort will have three swimming pools, a Jungle Gym, the Ritz Kids program and a locally-inspired spa. With four dining venues—which includes an award-winning Chinese restaurant armed with a stunning 180° view of the sea—food options will be aplenty within its vicinity. There will also be a private bay and beach that offers direct access to Langkawi’s famed diving sites and the enchanting archipelago of deserted islands nearby.
The Ritz-Carlton Langkawi aims to cover every guest’s need and that includes the thirst for adventure. Some of the curated experiences the resort will be offering includes a sailing adventure in a luxury yacht, deep sea fishing for barracuda, fascinating jungle walks and learning the Silat moves of ancient Malay warriors.
