It’s been hours and three of the most popular social media platforms are still experiencing some technical issues. Facebook was initially unaccessible though by now, it seems that it’s working for most. Instagram couldn’t “refresh feed” for a while and people couldn’t send or receive pictures via WhatsApp. Cue: Major existential crisis.
No one really knows why, though quite a few people were quick to assume it could be the work of hackers. Facebook swiftly ruled it out in response via Twitter (where a lot of people had to retreat to in this age of darkness).
“We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing the Facebook family of apps. We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible,” Facebook tweeted.
At the time of writing this, all three platforms have seemed to be resuscitated for this writer but if yours haven’t, you might relate to some of these perfect reactions we found on Twitter.
