BURO Gadget Guide: 5 New tech gadgets on our radar this November 2021

This month, there are new gadgets designed for work, for play, and for daily use. Some highlights include Acer’s new eco-laptop and Sony’s latest flagship smartphone, whereas Jabra and JBL have both introduced headphones with practical features for the modern, digital-savvy user. Ahead, we round up the best tech products on our radar for November 2021.

Jabra Evolve2 75 Headset

Those who have become accustomed to the WFH life will understand the importance of having a powerful computer and peripherals. The Jabra Evolve2 75 Headset is specially engineered to fill the gap in the latter, especially where communications (think Zoom calls and Microsoft Teams) is concerned, making flexible working simpler and more productive for everyone, everywhere.

Launching as the first of Jabra’s Evolve range to offer fully adjustable Jabra Advanced Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), the headset promises to deliver crystal-clear calls and pitch-perfect music in any surroundings, backed by its advanced triple chipset and 8-microphone technology. The mute and auto-answer-enabled microphone boom arm is 33 per cent shorter than before, allowing for greater flexibility while ensuring better-sounding audio. Additionally, the Busylight now offers 360-degree visibility to alert others when you’re in an important call and should not be disturbed, ensuring total focus.

The Evolve2 75 comes with up to 36 hours of MusicTime, 24 hours of TalkTime (without ANC and Busylight)—up by 33 per cent compared to its predecessor. Complete with an ergonomic fit for the ear cups, reimagined leatherette, and dual cushion design to improve ventilation and reduce ear pressure, the headset is fully equipped to take you seamlessly from work to play in comfort. It comes in MS Teams and Unified Communication (UC) variants, each optimised for the respective platforms.

Price: RM1,950 (Black or Beige) | RM2,230 with a charging stand (Black only)

Availability: From November 12th through Jabra authorised resellers in both MS Teams and Unified Communication (UC) variants

The chassis is made from 30 per cent post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic and the keycaps are made from 50 per cent PCR plastic. Acer claims the screen is 99 per cent recyclable, whereas the packaging is fully recyclable.

To highlight its thoughtful design, the R and E keycaps are mirrored—reinforcing the message to (re)duce, (re)use and (re)cycle. Moreover, the chassis is paint-free to lower the negative impact of VOCs and the laptop is built in such a way that it can be easily repaired or upgraded.

The laptop comes with a 15.6-inch 1080p LED display, stereo speakers, a 720p webcam, and a battery that lasts up to 7 hours. It is powered by 11th generation Intel processors with Intel Iris Xe graphics and is sold in two variants: the Core i5 and Core i7.
