7 Things to do in the Klang Valley this weekend: 13 & 14 January 2024
Shopping and sipping
January is kicking into full stride and this weekend, we’re embracing shopping for thrift finds and pre-loved goods, the art of whisky, and more. Here is our list of the most exciting and delicious events you’ll find around the Klang Valley throughout the second weekend of the year.
1. Embark on a whisky journey at ‘The Macallan Harmony Collection Experience, Inspired by Nature’ event
When: 10 to 21 January 2024 | 10am to 9pm
Where: The Starhill KL
Price: Free entry
In celebration of its latest partnership with Stella and Mary McCartney, The Macallan has launched its ‘The Macallan Harmony Collection Experience, Inspired by Nature’ event at The Starhill. The event offers fans of Scotch whisky a taste of the third edition of this limited annual release series, which is inspired by the McCartney sisters’ memories of the Scottish countryside. Aside from the single malt itself, the sisters have also designed a collection of 11 lifestyle pieces such as brass ice stamps and a flask to go along with the launch of the series.

Upon first whiff of The Macallan Harmony Collection Amber Meadow singe malt whisky, you’ll notice notes of fresh citrus fruits and honeysuckle, complemented by hints of vanilla, coconut, and ripe barley fields. As you start to savour its flavours, notes of oak, lemon, and melon take centre stage alongside subtle hints of scone and almond with green tea. Lastly, expect a long, sweet, and complex finish to each sip of the exquisite whisky.
Slots are available by reservation only for one to two guests and will last about 45 minutes each. If you aren’t able to make it to The Starhill, you can catch curated cocktails starring The Macallan Harmony Collection Amber Meadow at selected bars in KL, Johor Bahru, and Penang.
