For anyone who is familiar with shopping in Japan, you’d have heard about Tokyu Hands. Known as a one-stop shop, you can literally find everything you’re looking for-even the things you never thought you needed. And that’s because they also have some pretty unique yet functional items.
Now located in Pavilion KL’s Tokyo Street on Level 6 of the mall, Tokyu Hands has brought in over 500 of their best and unique Japanese items, ranging from household products to beauty products to stationeries and more.
Any chance of them opening a brick-and-mortar shop permanently in KL? “We wanted to explore and understand the retail market and consumer trends in Malaysia. We heard of Pavilion KL’s Tokyo Street and it is a popular destination for the locals. So we decided to have our first pop-up store here as it will be a great platform to maximise the exposure for our brand,” said Mr. Shinji Fujisawa, General Manager of Tokyu Hands. Fingers crossed, then.
Some of the products we were recommended to were the Alty face cleansing brush (it’s super soft to the touch), a snow shaver, the Hario rice cooker and various others. There’s even on-ground staff to give you a live demonstration slash hands on experience.
The Tokyu Hands pop-up store will be at Tokyo Street from 21 January to 3 February 2016.
