Just in time for Christmas, a new retail and lifestyle destination hub has opened its doors in KL! Located in the centre of Kuala Lumpur’s new financial district, The Exchange TRX redefines the future of experiential retail, sustainable urban living, and vibrant cultural expression.

1. Revel in the Christmas atmosphere at KL’s first 10-acre rooftop park

Be sure to stop by the TRX’s sprawling 10-acre public activated park on its rooftop—the first major greenspace in the city in over two decades. The park has over 150,000 plantings of native and naturalised species, making it home to a unique ecosystem for all to enjoy. A sprawling oasis of cascading greenery, the park includes a children’s play area, a jogging track, several water features, and beautiful shaded areas for relaxation.
This December, the rooftop park will feature live Christmas music, specialty stores, and festive decorations including a larger-than-life Christmas tree, magical fairy lights, photo-worthy reindeer installations, and more. Visit this unique spectacle to enjoy all the Christmas-activated events lined up this month!
2. Watch the Santa Festive Parade
When: Every Saturday & Sunday this December and Monday, 25th December
Where: Ground Floor, Rain Tree Plaza Entrance at 2pm | TRX City Park at 5pm
Catch the Festive parade performances this December where Santa Claus and his band of merry helpers create a joyful atmosphere of merriment this festive season.
3. Be entertained by live music performances
When: 6.30pm – 9.30pm | Every Friday, Saturday & Sunday in December and Monday, 25th December
Where: Level 4 TRX City Park, Garden Canopy
The Christmas musical performances will be held every weekend night this month. A blend of Christmas classics and popular covers will be performed by emerging local artistes seeking to make merry and entertain crowds.
Group artists set to perform include Lab The Rat, DJezna’s Stalker, Hey Palencia, Ty:del, Crinkle Cut, and Resort; while solo artists to look forward to include Mardiana, Adriel, AprilTwentyFifth, Lost Spaces, Eloise Lau, Jay Ivanes, Kat Roshan, Keith Kamalaraj, Brendan De Cruz, Amrita Soon, Kingsley Chen, Sharazade, and Ronnie Jupiter.
4. Participate in creative Christmas craft workshops
Get hands-on in several festive workshops hosted by TRX this month and get those creative juices flowing! Here are a few you can look forward to:
DIY Pinecone Ornament Workshop
When: 11am – 7pm, 16 & 17 December 2023
Where: Play Canopy, Level 4 TRX City Park
Add a touch of rustic flair to your Christmas tree this year when you make your very own DIY Pinecone at the special Pinecone Workshop this month.
Christmas Bauble Making Workshop
When: 11am – 7pm, 23 – 25 December 2023
Where: Play Canopy, Level 4 TRX City Park
Decorate your own Christmas Bauble at this special workshop suited for one and all. Make fancy baubles any way you like and hang your special creation on the tree this Christmas.

5. Check out a variety of food offerings

Food lovers will squeal with excitement at the five dining precincts known as the Food Exchange featuring hawker-style stalls, Concourse Dining for international cuisine, garden-inspired Park Dining, Premium Dining, and the alfresco-style Dining Terrace.
The Tipsy Flamingo by Singapore’s Tipsy Collective hospitality group will be opening its first branch in Malaysia at The Exchange TRX. Savour an array of local fusion dishes and specially crafted cocktails within a vibrant retro pool-party atmosphere inspired by the 80s.
Beverage outlet HeyTea, famed for their signature Very Grape Cheezo Tea and Citrus Very Tangerine Blast has also opened its first outlet here. Long queues are expected, so get there early!
6. Enjoy Christmas shopping and redemptions

The Christmas season is one of the most exciting times to shop, and The Exchange TRX provides a world-class location for all to indulge. From renowned luxury names to never-before-seen brands making their first appearances, the scene is set for an all-out shop-till-you-drop experience that will make a trip downtown worth your while. Japanese flagship department store Seibu carries over 400 Japanese luxury and contemporary fashion brands, some of which are entering the Malaysian market for the first time. As a Christmas treat for visitors this month, The Exchange TRX members can redeem exclusive gifts. 7. Join the New Year’s Eve grand celebration

A spectacular drone show will light up the sky as part of a New Year’s Eve party at The Exchange TRX, along with spectacular fireworks to ring in the celebration. There will also be a food fair and a concert performance with a lineup of international and local artists providing entertainment as you prepare for the countdown.
Among the biggest faces to anticipate include K-pop artist B.I. who will be headlining the event; with Leo as the supporting international act; as well as Clean Bandit, who will be performing a live PA set with Grace Chatto. Local names such as Airliftz, Lunadira, Claudia, Shelhiel, Ashley Lau, and Bad Habits will also be taking over the stage for a night to remember.
