First came the book, then the film and the sequel a few years after that and now there will be a musical adaptation as well. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie starred Alexis Bledel, Amber Tamblyn, America Ferrera and Blake Lively and it’s a coming of age story. It’s about four best friends, who have to come to terms about being apart for the first time in their lives and how they kept in touch by sharing a pair of jeans over the course of summer.
While the news of a musical production is confirmed, you can also keep your fingers crossed for a third movie. The quartet of actresses expressed interest to reunite for a third time on screen. Earlier this year, both Bledel and Tamblyn have dropped hints that there’s a strong chance of a third instalment but the movie studios have not picked up on the proposal yet.
No other details have been announced yet on the stage production and third movie, we’ll be sure to share as soon the news are out.
