If you can’t make it to all the Michelin-starred restaurants in the world, let the chefs come to you. This month, The St. Regis KL has invited three-starred Michelin Chef, Thomas Bühner for its Guest Star Chef Series to whip up a sensorial avant-garde 6-course dinner inspired by jazz.
The best way to describe Buhner’s cuisine is that it’s three-dimensional and akin to a symphony. Placing extreme focus in the “original, pure flavour of an ingredient”, the chef especially favours low-temperature cooking.
He explains, “The first dimension constitutes each individual product’s natural flavour, the second dimension describes how each dish is prepared and the third dimension represents the extensive range of my cuisine”.
For this exclusive dinner, expect tantalising notes such as his signature Wagyu Tenderloin and Wild Cod Consommé, Red Mullet in Spiced Oil with Sea Urchin cream and Duck Magret. Now, this is another kind of jazz we appreciate.
