7 Things you can do this weekend: 29 & 30 December 2018

 1. A Joyous Noel at The LINC KL: Weekend #5, 10am – 10pm, 29 & 30 December 2018

There’s a new mall in town (specifically Jalan Ampang) so if you’re looking for a quick escape from the usual bustling shopping centres, here’s a great spot. Especially since they’re continuing to host a Christmas bazaar and a few Christmas workshops. There will also be live music performances as well as art tours.

For more info, visit the event page.

2. Kikubari’s Best of 2018 Menu at Kikubari @ DC Mall, starts at 6.30pm, till 30 December 2018

If you’ve yet to try Kikubari’s “progressive Japanese cuisine” (a worthy description), this is your best chance as all the best dishes—some chosen by the chef and some that were the most popular among diners—will be put in a single menu for this unique dining experience. Think: Beef Cheek Pano with carrot puree and red wine sauce, Miso Chocolate Lava Cake with tofu ice cream and more.

RM461.70 per person. For more info or to make a reservation, head over to the website.

3. Fuyoh! Collectors Market at Publika, 10am – 10pm, 29 & 30 December 2018

Yes, some people might say, “Out with the old and in with the new” but that probably doesn’t apply to antiques, vintage items and collectables; and this market will see over 60 booths bring out their best goods.

For more info, visit the Facebook page.

4. Little Italy Sunday Market at Passione Ristorante Italiano @ Sri Petaling, 10.30am – 4pm, 30 December 2018

Indulge in authentic Italian food and drinks (that includes Italian Limoncello, cocktails and mocktails), shop for homemade dried pasta, cheese and salami, or let the little ones have fun at the Junior Pizza Chef Workshop (RM50 for one parent and child).

For more info, visit the event page.

5. Try the  Merry Berry dessert for a good cause at Whimsical Gelateria @ Publika, through December 2018

It’s not every month we have a special gelato flavour so of course, we’ll have to include this one last time. ICYMI, we worked with Whimsical Gelateria at Publika to create Merry Berry where RM1 from every sale will go to the Dignity for Children Foundation. But also, you deserve that treat (resolutions only come in effect on January 1, 2019 anyway)! More info here.

6. Not too late to book yourself that romantic getaway

Even a 3D2N vacation is better than none, right? Luckily for you and your bae, there’s no need to travel too far. Here are five romantic getaways in Southeast Asia you’ll love.

7. Start making plans for NYE!

We roundup some of the best spots in KL that can offer stunning views of the fireworks display as well as great music and drinks (and maybe food). Reservations encouraged so check out the list here.
