1. Celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival with New World Petaling Jaya’s seasonal menus

The Mid-Autumn Festival is just around the corner (21st September), and this weekend is the perfect time to celebrate it with your family. Aside from gifting them with the prettiest mooncake boxes and savouring the best mooncake flavours together, no festival is complete without a sumptuous reunion feast.

New World Petaling Jaya has specially prepared the Over The Moon Family Feast for the occasion, featuring three set menus with a selection of oriental dishes to serve up to four. Among the dishes include Braised Chicken with Yam and Mushroom, Steam Tofu with Minced Chicken, and XO Fried Rice with Shrimp.

Besides that, there’s also an Oriental Indulgence Afternoon Tea at Home set in collaboration with Tea+. Each afternoon tea set features an assortment of oriental-themed savoury and sweet delicacies with one bag of The Royal Puer fermented tea from Tea+, and a complimentary mooncake.

2. Participate in The Kind Run by Kind Kones

Local plant-based ice cream shop Kind Kones is hosting its first ever virtual run this month to raise funds for those who were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, while encouraging a healthier lifestyle after the prolonged lockdown period. Dubbed The Kind Run, the virtual event takes place from 15 to 30 September with a portion of proceeds going towards The Hope Branch and Colour Away Covid.

Those interested to donate or participate can purchase The Kind Run Kit, which includes a dry-fit shirt, face mask, insulated bottle, tote bag, and an ice cream pint of choice along with products and vouchers from various sponsors. In addition, one mangrove tree will be planted in Indonesia for every kit purchased.

Participants are encouraged to complete the 5km run and share their progress via social media with the hashtag #TheKindRun and tagging @kindkones. The kits can be purchased in-store or online from 4th September onwards. For more information and updates, follow @kindkones on social media.
