1. Experience the All-New BMW X5 and the New BMW X2 M35i at the Choose Your World roadshow at Plaza Arkadia, 10am – 7pm, 22 & 23 June 2019

If you’re craving for adventure and adrenaline, you should head over to Plaza Arkadia in Desa Park City this weekend to experience first-hand the new BMW X2 M35i, the all-new BMW X4, and BMW X5 alongside the BMW X1 and BMW X3. Throughout the duration of the event, you will be able to test drive the BMW X1, BMW X3, and the all-new BMW X4. There will also be action-packed strength and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) games by Playground Fitness. Don’t miss out on stunt performances too! 2. Membawang exhibition at ZHAN Jaya One, 11am – 7pm, 22 & 23 June 2019

With its 10-day run ending this Sunday, this exhibition that celebrates community is a must-see. Membawang, a collaborative exhibition, is organised by Gentle Rice and local photographer John Kam—Kuala Lumpur‘s grassroot creatives. The exhibition features local faces from different backgrounds and disciplines, including Nalisa Amin, Hammada, and Jasmine Ong. Many of the photos depict candid instances of interaction through warm tones and earthen hues. Although you shouldn’t miss this, there will be a second instalment in September. Stay tuned for that!

Fun fact: The term membawang is used to refer to the act of gossiping in a group.

4. Group art exhibition: Women opening ceremony at The Ledge Gallery, One Utama, 11am, 22 June 2019

Women hold up half the world and they come in different shapes, and colours. This exhibition highlights three artists’ visual interpretations of women. The aim? Visithra Manikam, the exhibition curator, give emerging and new artists an opportunity to showcase their art, talent and vision. The exhibiting artists are Elliza Hashim, Lim Anuar, Gerald Mohan Constantine, Lee Phaik Kee, Lim Chin Han, Sharini Yogi, Sandru, Tamaka, Tebambigai Mohanna, and Visithra Manikam herself.

5. Family Good Market at GMBB, 11am – 8pm, 22 & 23 June 2019

Head over to the first commercial mall fully branded around artisanal and creativity this weekend for GMBB’s Family Good Market. What can you expect? From 3pm – 4pm, BuBu Cottage will be conducting a handmade workshop for Flower Wreath and Mini Flowers Bouquet (both days). 6. Fête dela Musique featuring Télépopmusik DJ Set at Publika, 2pm – 12am, 22 June 2019

Free admission! Did that get your attention yet? La Fête de la Musique, or Music Day, is an annual event which first began in 1982 to bring people and music to the streets in France. Kuala Lumpur is now one of over 700 cities worldwide to join in on this special day. The line-up consists of headliner Télépopmusik, as well as French and Malaysian performers. During the event, a French Market with plenty of food stalls will be available. Food and music—name a better a duo than that.

7. Malaysia’s 2nd Zero Waste Fest at The Linc KL, 10am – 5pm, 22 & 23 June 2019

This weekend, take the opportunity to learn more about how you can contribute towards a cleaner and greener Malaysia. Expect representatives from zero waste movement groups from Vietnam, Cambodia, and Indonesia to shed light on the current zero waste movement and initiatives happening around their countries.
