7 Things you can do in KL this weekend: 18 & 19 May 2019

1. Bazaar Ramadan Kampong Bharu, 4pm – 7.30pm, till 31 May 2019

One of the best things about the Ramadan season is the bazaar and Touch ‘n Go eWallet has set up a “Kampong Kashless” bazaar Ramadan so you can enjoy everything it has to offer (mostly food!) without the hassle of fiddling for change and cash. Just remember to top up your app before going. Fun fact: Our Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad has already been!

2. Check out Nespresso’s latest pop-up store at Pavilion KL, 10am – 10pm, till 31 August 2019

Located at the Bukit Bintang Entrance on Level 3, Nespresso‘s latest pop-up is more than just a space to enjoy a cuppa and check out the brand’s wide range of coffee sleeves (with special deals on some of them). The most surprising (and Instagram-worthy) part of the pop-up would definitely be the gigantic installation of a freshly-poured Nespresso coffee and machine. There’ll also be fun activities and workshops for the whole family all-day long from Thursdays to Sundays such as: DIY milk and coffee recipes, Nintendo Switch gaming centre, Barista workshop sessions, brush lettering and more.

3. Awwsum Market at The LINC KL @ Jalan Tun Razak, 18 & 19 May 2019

The most colourful space in town right now will be hosting a market with handmade and artisanal goods so you can shop till you drop. But otherwise, you can also join Maggy Wang in her Move with Maggy: Functional Strength workshop (9am – 10am) for RM35 per person. Either way, it’s a great opportunity to check out The Linc KL, if you haven’t already.

4. Exclusive 7-course Omakase Menu by 1-Michelin-starred teppanyaki restaurant Ishigaki Yoshida at Sushi Ryu, lunch and dinner, 23 – 25 May 2019

Crispy Wagyu Steak, Uni Scrambled Eggs with Black Truffle, Abalone Liver Sauce Pasta – these are just some of the decadent 1-Michelin-starred creations you can expect from this exclusive Ishigaki Yoshida pop-up menu. Using the finest seasonal produce air-flown from Japan, it’s certainly the best of the best only and to complement these indulgent dishes is a specially crafted complimentary drink (cocktail or mocktail) created by veteran Japanese mixologist Osamu Kinugawa of Bar Shake.

The exclusive Ishigaki Yoshida pop-up 7-course menu is priced at RM1,588++ per person. There will be one seating for lunch (12pm) and two seatings for dinner (6pm and 8.30pm). For more info or to make a reservation, contact [email protected] or WhatsApp +6019 3313 595.
