In the wise words of Queen Mariah Carey, it’s time! Santa’s sleigh is about to land any minute and we have a magical lineup of festive activities to celebrate the holiday and long weekend ahead! From twinkling Winter Wonderlands and exciting bazaars to late-night parties, here are seven events happening around and outside Selangor to celebrate Christmas.

 

1. Immerse yourself in the festive vibes at The HoHoLand Market

HoHoLand is back for its second year, bringing another round of festive bliss to town! Expect yummy delights, a plethora of local vendors to explore, Music Nights featuring exciting live performances from Malaysian acts and even a magical snowfall.

2. Experience Christmas magic at Resorts World Genting’s Winter Wonderland

When: Until 1 January 2024

Where: Resorts World Genting

Why not head up to Resorts World Genting for the long weekend? It’s Winter Wonderland invites visitors to take part in its joyous festive offerings. Elevate the enchantment of the season with a white Christmas during the resort’s hourly snowfall at night. After the snowy spectacle, Madison Square transforms into a Yuletide haven with dazzling lights, a majestic 40-foot Christmas tree, live music and delectable finger foods. 

Further, celebrate Christmas Day with the American R&B quartet All-4-One at the Arena of Stars for a special one-day-only concert! Fill your festivities with acapella-style renditions of their hit songs I Swear, So Much in Love and more. A visit to the Kimhua Atrium should also not be missed as you can marvel at the tallest Christmas tree crafted from real poinsettia plants which is featured in the Malaysian Book of Records.

3. Pump up the holiday spirit at the all-female DJ event, Cherry Bomb

Ravers and party lovers, this is for you! Usher in the Christmas mood with the most electrifying EDM beats in a night of non-stop entertainment led by an all-female DJ lineup. Featuring Jovynn, Ashley Lau, Coco, and Djane on the decks, expect a range of sounds ranging from deep, dark techno basslines to uplifting house music. Powered by REXKL’s high-resolution projectors, Cherry Bomb will be illuminated with dynamic dual lighting for an even more immersive experience.

4. Celebrate sustainability and creativity at TUG Gelato’s Christmas in Green

In commemoration of TUG Gelato turning two this year, the Christmas in Green market is celebrating community, sustainability and creativity this holiday season. Visit Rumah Tangsi to experience a slew of cool workshops, groovy tunes from local acts such as Talitha, The Impatient Sisters, and Midnight Fusic as well as a plethora of scrumptious food offerings. On the first day, there will be a Tangsirama Music Fest where DJ spins, live band performances and open karaoke sessions await!

The Spritzer Winter Fiesta makes its grand return, bringing with it an enchanting assortment of festive magic this holiday season perfect for families and friends. If you haven’t had the chance to explore Taiping until now, this is the perfect time to do it!

For four consecutive nights until Christmas, there will also be several snowfall sessions in the evening. 7. Check out the Martell pop-up store in Pavilion Bukit Jalil

Maison Martell, the oldest of the great cognac houses, is celebrating its 130th anniversary in Malaysia with an interactive, multi-sensory, AI-enabled pop-up experience at the concourse of Pavilion Bukit Jalil. Visitors will not only be taken on an immersive journey uncovering the Maison’s rich history, but also get a closer look at the Les Remarquables de Martell-Edition Laurentine Perilhou—Martell’s RM5 million limited edition cognac masterpiece!
