Few toys have stood the test of time the way Lego has. What keeps this Danish icon relevant isn’t just the nostalgia factor, but the brand’s genius for teaming up with some of the world’s most iconic names. These collaborative sets aren’t just your run-of-the-mill builds. They are symbols of Lego’s dedication to bringing people together through their partnerships in play. From its simple Duplo F1 kits to the more complex Marvel builds, these collaborations have found homes in childhood playrooms and adult collectors’ shelves alike. Below, you’ll find some of our favourite Lego collaborations and sets that we’ve seen through the years. 

 

1. Super Mario

It’s every child’s dream to bring their favourite games to life, and Lego’s collaboration with Nintendo’s Super Mario has done just that. The collection recreates iconic characters and locations from the games, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the universe of the Mushroom Kingdom. Currently, there are four sets available: The Mighty Bowser, Mario Kart (with Mario & Standard Kart), Super Mario World (with Mario & Yoshi), and The Bowser Express Train.

2. Formula 1 

Perfect for all car lovers, the Lego collaborations with Formula 1 is a tribute to the craft of racing. With models inspired by Ferrari, Red Bull Racing, Mercedes-AMG, and the 2024 season team winner, McLaren, these builds go beyond simple models. No detail has been spared with this collection, right down to the aerodynamic curves and tiny V6 engine replicas.

3. Star Wars

It should come as no surprise that Lego X Star Wars has made it on this list. Not only did this trailblazing collaboration spawn years of licensed Lego partnerships, but it also kickstarted an entire game franchise of its own. From the 7,541-piece Millennium Falcon to C3PO himself, there are countless sets to score and display at home.

4. The Walt Disney Company

Over the last two decades, Lego and Disney have built a magical partnership that has grown from a tiny eight-piece Winnie the Pooh set to a full-blown collection of 180 sets. From the iconic Mickey Mouse to Disney Princesses, villains, and everything in between, this iconic Lego collaboration lets you build your own Disney world, with all the imagination and fun you could dream of.

5. Adidas

Though the collaboration is no longer on the shelves, it still remains to be one of the most creative Lego collaborations seen to date, featuring none other than Adidas’ most recognisable sneaker. This full-sized Lego x Adidas Originals Superstar came with real shoelaces and—of course—the sneaker itself for you to build out of bricks. Beyond this release, Adidas also released an actual sneaker line inspired by Lego’s signature colours—yellow, red, blue, and green—turning childhood nostalgia into everyday fashion.

 

6. Ikea

As Lego fits right into your homes, its collaboration with global furnishing brand Ikea was a match made in heaven. The Bygglek was a series of storage boxes that doubled as building platforms. Encouraging play while also keeping you organised, the product was wildly popular and set the stage for a lasting partnership. In fact, in late May of 2025, Lego partnered with Ikea Malaysia to create the one-of-a-kind Lego Home in the middle of The Exchange TRX, where enthusiasts could discover new ways to incorporate Lego into their everyday lives. 

 

7. The Lord of the Rings

Middle-earth takes on Lego form with its The Lord of the Rings collaboration, capturing the glory of Tolkien’s world on a miniature scale. From Bilbo Baggin’s hobbit hole to the Dark Towers, each set is a detailed and playful ode to the stories that shaped many of our upbringings. In fact, the Rivendell set is one of the ten biggest Lego sets ever created, featuring 6,167 pieces and 15 Minifigures.

8. Marvel

Avengers, assemble (your bricks)! The collaboration with Marvel has long been a favourite in the Lego universe, spanning single figurines or busts to more complex architectural sets. You can recreate iconic scenes with the Avengers Tower or build your very own Age of Ultron Quinjet with Minifigures included for the ultimate thrill. One of the most iconic builds has got to be the Avengers Tower, complete with 31 Minifigures of the Avengers and other characters. Also popular were the Infinity Gauntlet and Black Panther himself.

9. Art 

While not necessarily a collaboration, the Lego Art series is definitely worthy of a spot on this list. With some pieces created in partnership with The Museum of Modern Art as well as the Van Gogh Museum, the collection includes some of the world’s most recognisable works such as Van Gogh’s The Starry Night and Hokusai’s the Great Wave. Another favourite in the collection is The Milky Way Galaxy set, made with over 3,000 layered bricks and pieces. While we definitely won’t be getting those original  pieces in our homes any time soon, this collaboration allows us to bring a piece of art history into our homes with a little fun twist.

10. Architecture 

The Lego Architecture series (which also isn’t a collaboration per se) is the ultimate brick-filled tribute to the world’s most recognisable landmarks, turning your living room into a global tour of architectural wonders. From the detailed, 4,383-piece Notre-Dame de Paris to the towering 1.5-meter, 10,001-piece Eiffel Tower, each set will challenge even the most experienced of builders thanks to their intricate detailing. Every brick is a reminder of the creativity and vision behind these architectural marvels that define our cities and cultures.

11. Nike

Nike and Lego recently revealed a highly anticipated partnership. It may be hard to believe but this is the first time the two giants are joining forces, making it all the more monumental. While no sets have been revealed at the time of writing this article, it is said that we can expect some playful builds of Nike’s iconic footwear, apparel, and more.

12. One Piece

Monkey D. Luffy and his crew have made it into the Lego realm with intricate and accurate builds inspired by the legendary anime, One Piece. The 1,376-brick Going Merry ship set lets superfans create their own Lego version of the show’s most recognisable vessel. Meanwhile, the Baratie Restaurant will provide builders with a challenge with its detailed interiors and intricate façade.

13. HARRY POTTER

There’s no denying the impact that the wizarding world of Harry Potter has had on all of our childhoods and beyond. With that, it comes as no surprise that this partnership is without a doubt one of the most iconic Lego collaborations we’ve seen. Symbols and characters of the franchise—from Diagon Alley to the Hogwarts Express—have been immortalised in Lego form for fans all over the world to bring into their homes. Each set was created with even the smallest elements included, so fans will be able to find the magic in every corner of their build.

14. MINECRAFT

Minecraft enters the real life realm with its many Lego collaborations, complete with Minifigures of its characters. The builds in this partnership span simple character builds to larger scene playsets that will capture fans of all ages. The Llama Village playset, for example, is reconfigurable and includes characters, animals and accessories that bring it to life. Not to mention, players can even make the llama “spit” bricks, for an extra dimension of fun.

15. BTS

BURO Malaysia, most iconic lego collaborations

To the delight of ARMY around the world, Lego’s now sold out BTS collaboration was one for the K-pop books. The sole set of the collaboration, titled Lego Ideas BTS Dynamite, takes scenes from their hit single’s music video and combines them into one interactive set, inclusive of a movable performance stage. Of course, the seven members each got their own Minifigure, complete with mics and the exact outfits they wore in the music video.
