1. Sunny Side Up Market: Merdeka Edition 2018 at Slate @ The Row, 11am – 6pm, 3 – 5 August

Start off your Merdeka celebrations early with Sunny Side Up Market as they feature over 35 homegrown businesses. Buy local, eat local, wear local.

2. Pop Up Malaysia at Publika, 10am – 10pm, 2 – 5 August

At another part of town is this arts and crafts market where you can shop or join workshops to pick up a skill or two.

3. Starbucks Signing Workshop at Starbucks @ Bangsar Village 2, 7.30pm – 8.45pm, 4 August

Learn sign language at this fortnightly Starbucks Outreach Community Program that’s run in collaboration with SID (Society of Interpreters for the Deaf). This week’s theme is “Action Words”.

4. Gymnastics Strength Training with Coach Armands at lululemon KL, 9.30am – 10.30am, 4 August

You can always count on lululemon KL for a good community sweat out session and this weekend, they’ve invited Coach Armands Priede of District 13 and CrossFit Lah to teach you how to engage your body and use it for complete strength and flexibility training.

5. MNS Wildfriends – Volunteer at Zoo Negara, 8am – 1pm, 4 August

This one’s for the animal lover, aged between 18 – 30 years old. Organised by the Malaysian Nature Society, this special program will allow you to get up close and personal with the animals through a series of activities.

A minimal fee of RM 50 (MNS members) and RM 65 (non-members) will be charged for each participant, and is inclusive of the zoo entrance fee, lunch, an exclusive T-shirt and a certificate. Register here or email [email protected] for more info.

 

 

6. Midnight Tacos at Fuego @ Troika Sky Dining, 10pm – 1am, every Friday and Saturday night

Fuego has your after-dinner soirées sorted!
