1. Saturday Night Vibes at Shook! Kuala Lumpur, 7pm-10.30pm, 11 Nov

Shook! has a new dining concept where great food meets great company and music in one fine, stylish space. As per its namesake, the combination only happens once every week with a delectable feast of exquisite Asian and European cuisines ensured. The live performances, however, changes and this weekend features The Rainbow Children, a Prince-inspired tribute band.

2. Dewakan x Kristian Bauman, 7.30pm-9.30pm, 10 & 11 Nov 

Chef and co-owner of Copenhagen’s Restaurant 108, Kristian Bauman is coming to KL to collaborate with Chef Darren Teoh of Dewakan for a one-of-a-kind 11-course menu where the spotlight is on the natural flavours of the ingredients themselves. Expect creative dishes that will challenge, comfort and intrigue you.

4. ABWM Christmas Bazaar at The Renaissance Hotel, 10.30am-2.30pm, 12 Nov

It’s never too early to start shopping for Christmas. The Association of British Women in Malaysia is organising a huge Christmas bazaar with over 90 stalls-20 of those stalls are by charities while the rest of them will be selling craft items, jewellery, books, baked goods and more.

6. The Singapore Writers Festival in Singapore, till 12 Nov

The literary festival, back for its 20th edition, is in full swing and for the first time ever, is carrying a Tamil theme-Aram. To celebrate some of the best talents around the region, the festival will see visiting authors giving talks and joining panel discussions. Malaysia is also part of this huge event and we spoke to one of the Malaysian speakers, Amir Muhammad—the ‘godfather’ of indie books and the man behind Fixi—here for his insight of the industry.
