Merry month: Gourmet delights at TWG Tea

‘Tis the season to be jolly… a jolly month of good food, that is. Throughout the month of December, TWG Tea Salon & Boutique celebrates the merry season with a festive set menu for your feasting pleasure. The exquisite three-course set menu starts with an appetizer, giving you a choice between Cured Salmon Timbale and Lobster Bisque. We had a taste of the former—a colourful medley of cured dill-salmon timbale with avocado, pomegranate and sweet mango, dressed with aromatic salsa and topped with amaranth cress and focaccia toast—a delightfully refreshing dish that looks just as good as it tastes.

For main, patrons are given a variety of hearty cuisines to choose from, namely the Red Snapper Fillet, Roasted Spring Chicken, and the Red Chai Lamb Loin. Opting for the fillet, I was served with a tastefully pan friend red snapper fillet with caramelised endives, trio of beans, cranberry tomato salsa, and White Christmas Tea sauce. The tea-infused element in the sauce is subtle, giving it just the right balance of flavours, while the aromatic salsa provides a zesty kick to the dish.

The meal is rightfully completed with sweet treats by TWG Tea—indulge in a dessert of either the festive-favourite Christmas Log Cake or tea-infused patisseries. The Christmas Log Cake came furnished with a lovely side of berries, lightly dusted with chocolate powder for a fine finishing touch. And of course, you can’t do a meal at TWG Tea without accompanying the festivities with a selection from their vast array of fine harvest teas and exclusive tea blends. Et voila, you have just the place for an intimate gathering with your loved ones this merry month.
