6 Spectacular holiday displays you will love this festive season

‘Tis the season of joy and togetherness, and as the world transforms into an enchanting winter wonderland, luxury brands take centre stage in crafting the most enchanting festive experiences. From high-end fashion houses to renowned jewellers, these boutiques have spared no expense in adorning their storefronts with lavish Christmas decorations, turning city streets into enchanting displays of opulence and style. Ahead, discover six of our favourite holiday displays from different corners of the globe, including Kuala Lumpur

BURBERRY

Burberry takes over Shanghai for its third Burberry Streets series after making its debut in Seoul and London. Dubbed ‘Burberry Rose,’ the current project sees the pop-up covered in Daniel Lee’s rose print, exhibiting the brand’s hallmarks like the season check print in knight blue, rose print and the freshly updated Equestrian Knight Design. There’s also a pop-up of Norman’s, a North London diner, set in a temporary space that combines Norman’s signature aesthetic and the House’s recent creative expression. The ‘Burberry Rose’ will run through December 31, 2023.

CARTIER

If you haven’t already heard or seen it, Cartier has recently reopened its Pavilion KL boutique, accompanied by the festive ‘Magical Encounters’ animation within the shopping mall. While several selected areas offer diverse multi-sensory experiences, the highlight lies in the attention-grabbing window displays. The shadow box features an air balloon hanging to an upside-down house, along with other precious items like the Juste en Clou necklace and earrings.

DIOR

This season, Dior pays homage to the wonder of Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Cruise 2024 show with captivating installations inspired by Pietro Ruffo’s Butterfly Around the World motif. The decorations take the form of a magnificent monarch butterfly and elevate the facade of its retailers around the world together with eye-catching lights. One of our favourites is the Dior store in Seongsu, Seoul, which is absolutely stunning!

FENDI

Fendi ushers the holiday spirit with a sketched starry sky pattern adorning its boutiques. The store windows feature silver ornaments and classic white backgrounds, echoing the romance of a night filled with stars in the sky. A closer look reveals the stars are made of five F letters and fashioned into sculptures embellished with 3D-printed snow patches and sumptuous shearling for the ultimate fresh snow effect. Meanwhile, the same stars formed the Fendi tree in front of the brand’s flagship store at Palazzo Fendi in Rome.

GIORGIO ARMANI

Sparkle becomes the focal point for Giorgio Armani, as it unveils not just metallic ready-to-wear pieces but also window displays harmonising with the theme. Along Milan’s Via Sant’Andrea, the flagship boutique showcases metallic tiles as the backdrop, highlighting key pieces like the long-sleeved fitted dress and rhinestone-studded La Prima bag. Further enhancing the visual allure are matching suit sets in various colours like light green and pink, elegantly displayed on a rack-like arrangement.

GUCCI

Gucci marks the festive occasion with uniquely decorated windows that shine a spotlight on the House’s iconic Horsebit motif. The brand’s Bond Street boutique in London, in particular, stands out among the rest as the emblem gracefully hangs in the windows, adding a touch of sophistication to the festive atmosphere. The fascinating displays become a visual spectacle, enticing onlookers into a realm of timeless style, all while paying homage to its rich heritage.
