For Versus’s Fall 2017 ad campaign, Donatella Versace is redefining what it means to be a non-conformist in the creative sphere across the globe. Championing the inclusivity of subcultures without compromising their creative points of view, Versace’s cast for this season is a medley of intriguing inviduals.
“I really admire the young creatives in the new Versus campaign,” said Versace. “I call them the Sub-Versus Generation, a community of subcultures taking a stand for their beliefs and for their individuality.”
Eight young talents make the line-up, including Canadian underground rap artist Tommy Genesis, American transgender activist Hunter Schafer, American-born English model Lily McMenamy, Tokyo-born musician and model Rina Sawayama, Irish hip-hop producer Rejjie Snow, English singer-songwriter Cosmo Pyke, London-born artist and model Wilson Oryema, and American actor and freestyle rapper Judah Lang. Photographed by Ben Toms, the campaign’s executive creative director happens to be Dazed co-founder Jefferson Hack. Below, take a look at the collage of visuals and the film short for the campaign:
