Venice Film Festival 2025: All The Best Looks From The Red Carpet
Haute on Lido
Venice is once again a city of stories as the 82nd Venice Film Festival takes over the Lido. Running until 6 September, the annual festival brings together cinematic heavyweights such as Frankenstein, Bugonia, After The Hunt and La Grazia under the direction of jury president Alexander Payne. Beyond the reels, the red carpet has become theatre in its own right, where A-list actors craft moments as artfully composed as the films inside.
The Clooneys drew the spotlight at the Jay Kelly premiere—George in Giorgio Armani tailoring, Amal radiant in a vintage fuchsia Jean-Louis Scherrer gown. From Chanel, Tilda Swinton offered crisp contrast in white silk crepe and black mikado, while Ayo Edebiri electrified the carpet in a strapless red gown.
Meanwhile, the Frankenstein premiere brought its own share of high-style moments. Mia Goth stood out in a brown Dior dress, while Gemma Chan gleamed in a liquid metallic asymmetrical gown by Giorgio Armani. Menswear highlights included Jacob Elordi in a Bottega Veneta grain de poudre suit and Oscar Isaac in a white Celine jacket accented with black lapels.
Style notes carried into the weekend at the premiere of Father Mother Sister Brother, as Indya Moore opted for a floor-length patterned Saint Laurent dress, and Cate Blanchett impressed in a black bodice set against a feathered skirt, courtesy of Maison Margiela.
Amanda Seyfried graced the red carpet of The Testament of Ann Lee in a navy Prada gown, detailed with a column of buttons and a red bow whose ribbons trailed elegantly down her sides. Lewis Pullman cut a sharp figure in a classic Saint Laurent suit, while Thomasin McKenzie embraced romantic drama in Rodarte’s velvet-and-lace gown.
The premiere of A House of Dynamite brought more sartorial fireworks, with Rebecca Ferguson in an asymmetrical Maticevski, Greta Lee in a green Dior mini dress with a plunging V-neck, and the Elbas complementing each other perfectly—he in slate grey, she in crisp white.
Elsewhere, Myha’la Herrold appeared in a sand Miu Miu gown adorned with embroidered florals, while Colman Domingo made a statement in a gold-leaf Valentino pankou jacket with cascading fringe. Dacre Montgomery made his Venice debut in a monochrome Belance robe-style suit. See more of our favourite looks from the festival below.
