Venice Film Festival 2024: The 20 Best-dressed celebrities on the red carpet

Venice has been in the spotlight recently as the 81st Venice Film Festival unfolds, running until September 7. This year, 21 feature-length films are making their premieres, but beyond the screenings, the red carpet has become a spectacle of its own. A-listers are turning heads with their most glamorous looks, adding an extra layer of excitement to the prestigious affair.

Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice kicked off the film festival with a memorable red carpet lineup. Jenna Ortega channelled Lydia Deetz in a vibrant red tulle gown by Dior, while Winona Ryder embraced her gothic roots in an all-Chanel ensemble—a black grain de poudre jacket and vest, paired with a crisp white blouse and a flowing black silk tulle skirt. Taylor Russell also chose Chanel, opting for a vintage sheer dress that Claudia Schiffer famously wore on the runway in the ‘90s. Isabelle Huppert brought her own red moment to the carpet in a high-neck gown of red crumpled silk by Balenciaga.

Another stunning look was Angelina Jolie at the premiere of Pablo Larrain’s Maria. The American actress stunned in a bespoke stone chiffon gown with asymmetrical draping, coupled with silk chiffon gloves and a faux fur stole, all designed by Tamara Ralph. Meanwhile, Nicole Kidman captured attention in a shimmering Schiaparelli ensemble, featuring a sequinned organza corset bustier with a long black velvet column skirt. Zhang Zi Yi looked equally radiant in a chic velvet separates by Giorgio Armani Privé.

On the other hand, Brad Pitt impressed in a Louis Vuitton black one-button tuxedo jacket, teamed with matching flared pants. Nicholas Hoult showcased his style at the premiere of Justin Kurzel’s The Order, wearing a tuxedo from the Ralph Lauren Purple Label. Daniel Craig stood out in a stylish cream suit by Loewe, while Omar Apollo arrived on the red carpet in a Loewe black jacket layered over a striking golden see-through top.
