Our Malaysian athletes will grace the opening ceremony in traditional attire designed by the fashion duo of Rizman Ruzaini. The ‘Malaya’ collection captures the spirit of Malay Peninsula and Borneo warriors from the pre-independence era. With a colour palette of brown and olive green, the ladies will wear elegant Baju Kurung with headscarves, while the men will don Baju Melayu Teluk Belanga, accented with songkok and sampin. Both ensembles are embellished with songket motifs, uniquely crafted to reflect Rizman Ruzaini’s distinctive style.

France has appointed Berluti to create its uniforms, which include a classic white shirt and a midnight-blue tuxedo jacket with a shawl collar, embellished with a freshly designed ‘French flag’ patina motif. Highlighting its commitment to inclusivity, the outfits will be available in an extensive range of sizes, from 3XS to 6L, and shoes from size 1 to 22. Men will be dressed in Berluti Shadow trainers, while women and coaches have the option of either the Shadow trainers or the versatile Lorenzo leather loafers.

Following their previous designs for Team Mongolia at Tokyo 2020 and Beijing 2020, the Ulaanbaatar-based brand Michel & Amazonka has been chosen once again for this year’s edition. The traditional Deel inspires the new uniforms and features a vest adorned with elaborate details like the Nine White Banners, the Olympic torch, floral patterns and mountain silhouettes. Each element is accentuated with gold or silver threads, lending a refined and sophisticated touch to the outfits.

The Spanish athletes are turning heads in their striking red kits crafted by Joma. The design draws inspiration from the carnation, Spain’s national flower, which holds deep cultural significance in the nation’s folklore. Additionally, the uniforms prominently feature the red and yellow colours of the national flag, elegantly displayed on a pleated midi skirt with a gradient that complements the red blazer. Its shoes are crafted from woven banana silk and include patented insoles to ensure maximum comfort for the athletes.
South Korea

South Korea masters minimalist elegance with Musinsa Standard’s sky blue wool suit, seamlessly merging Eastern aesthetic with a contemporary, youthful vibe. The blazer features a belt reminiscent of traditional gakdae from official uniforms, while its inner lining is decorated with intricate blue and white porcelain patterns that honour Korean heritage. Additionally, athletes will be sporting a silver pendant necklace featuring the Taegeuk pattern.

Ralph Lauren returns as the official outfitter for Team USA for the ninth time, this year drawing inspiration from the host city itself. The opening ceremony ensemble showcases a tailored single-breasted wool blazer with red and white accents, paired with a striped oxford shirt, tapered jeans, and classic suede buck shoes. On top of this attire, the American brand will provide uniforms for the closing ceremony and a stylish range of Villagewear for the Games.

For the opening ceremony, the Canadian brand has created a distinctive print that embodies the essence of the country, as seen on the Vented Jacquard bomber jacket. What’s more, the suits are made from eco-hybrid taffeta—a sustainable fabric produced from recycled T-shirts and PET bottles.
