Jennie Stars in Chanel’s Fall-Winter 2025/26 Pre-Collection
Preppy in Paris
Jennie’s Chanel chapter continues. After sharing the spotlight with Dua Lipa in the Chanel 25 handbag campaign, the Blackpink member now fronts the Fall-Winter 2025/26 pre-collection. There’s a quiet tension running through the collection—delicate but defined, nostalgic with a razor-sharp edge. Drawing from the masculine-meets-feminine dressing of ’90s rom-com heroines, Chanel revisits that era with fresh precision and poise.
Oversized tweed coats in wool and cashmere are shrugged over casual tanks and denim, bringing a sense of undone glamour. “The ’90s have always spoken to me,” Jennie shares. “Not just the fashion, but the mood and the spirit. I love how women in rom-coms from that era felt strong and vulnerable at the same time. There’s a playfulness in how they dressed—a perfect mix of feminine and boyish. It’s romantic yet preppy, and that’s something I love incorporating into my own style.”
The narrative unfolds in two signature pieces: a corset in double crêpe, cut like a men’s waistcoat and finished with beaded straps, and a black leather coat adorned with gold buttons, styled with the Chanel 25 or a matching beret. Then come the accessories—light and sweet: quilted heart bags in pale pink or baby blue, and a minaudière that nods to the charm of vintage compacts.
“These are strong pieces, but they still feel elegant,” Jennie reflects. “Wearing masculine silhouettes with feminine details reminds me that you don’t have to choose one or the other, you can be both, and that’s powerful.”
The storied gardens of the Palais-Royal—just a stone’s throw from the Ritz and Rue Cambon—serve as the backdrop to Craig McDean’s lens. A place beloved by Gabrielle Chanel and frequented by Colette and Jean Cocteau, it was among the couturière’s favourite spots for quiet walks and long lunches.
Framed by an apartment window, Jennie wears a woollen tweed miniskirt suit and cashmere trimmed in pale blue. In another frame, she strolls beneath the arcades in supple beige leather. The mood? Classic Paris, through a Chanel lens.
